Will start Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince tomorrow. This means I will reach my goal of re-reading all 6 books prior to the publication of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I am now finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm going to start a discussion thread, but I won't be in it all week as I will be leaving town tomorrow. Spoiler warnings will be in the title.

At the time I'm sadly out of readin material. I'm thinking I should hit the HP train, and start reading them. My sis has them all, and I know I can borrow them from her.

I haven't seen the movie, not really sure  if I want to or not. I like the big screen, so it would be better than a DVD, but I might just wait.

Having not read the books yet, nor seen the movie i can't confirm this for sure.. but i hear it from sourses i trust dearly that they've left the last 10 odd chapters of the book out of the movie!!

I read it in 6th grade. I loved the trilogy back then, and contrary to many peoples' beliefs about the books, they did not make me any less Christian. I don't want to see the movie because I liked the books so much.

I just finished "Trickster's Queen" by Tamora Pierce. I'm glad I read it and then I'm not glad I read it. It's a good book. I love her characters. Start with the Song of the Lioness quartet though. Then read the Immortals quartet, followed by the Protector of the Small series and then Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen. Same world and you encounter a lot of the same characters throughout each series so it's good to start with the beginning and know the backstory on all the characters. (Trust me. She likes to reference events that you read about in past series in the later ones.)

I've been reading a lot lately. I just barely (like less than 10 minutes ago) finished "Stoneheart" by Charlie Fletcher. It's the first of a trilogy. I bought the second one but I haven't started it yet. I like the premise of the book. It's fairly unusual. And it's set in London so it's really fun to read it and be able to just see instantly what he's talking about when he references something I know.

I just finished the books published thus far in the series "Charlie Jackson and the Olympians." It's a fun series and really entertaining. The premise is great and gives the author instant access to a rich mythology from which to draw for storylines and characters.
