Juliet is forced to reveal some startling news to Jin when Sun threatens to move to Locke's camp. Meanwhile, Sayid and Desmond begin to get an idea of the freighter crew's mission when they meet the ship's Captain.

more Sayid and Desmond. yay!

my favorite lost episode was Desmond's first flashback, when he was reliving his past. the recent Desmond epi is now close to being my second favorite. I love the time-travel thing they have going on.

three days on the island one night on the ship.
kate stirring up discontent...she's done that before...
sun wants to go to locke's camp!! interesting!
she is 2 months pregnant on the island... same off???

that was mean!! juliet..do you think that will get her off the island?? why?? it only made jin leave!
dr bae taking over for dr park..; taking jewelry... what so special about the ring?? and the panda... is the 2nd panda got something in it?? rather funny scene chasing the taxi!!!
kate giving directions... don't trust her this year for some reason... will wait and hope i am wrong....

bernard giving jin fatherly advice... nice! rose stayed becuz it was the right thing to do...cuz locke murdered someone.... hard to understand locke's motives at this point.
regina chained and jumps and no one helps? was she ill too??? capt is familiar.... who is he??

freighter... has sabateur on boardf keeping them close to island... near island.. want to get away but can't...widmore staged 815 at bottom of the trench? 324 bodies somehow connected to benjamin linus??

um.... what did they do to us?? Jin was in china working for paik... sun in the us giving birth to the baby... jin is dead in sun's world??? jin is newly married inhis world??? this will take time to digest..... he forgave her on the island... the man she betrayed was a different man that what he is now... hurley with sun... nice to see!!

and next week should be even better! last one for a month!!! hope we get...reruns!!!

Does he die next week? Is that why the past Jin doesn't know stuff, like Desmond's past self now knows about the future?? Daniel is happy his past self will have more knowledge. Jin doesn't seem to have that.

The statement re: you cannot change the future prevails in almost every sci-fi film but weve all seen films like Back to the Future and Frequency in which future events were shown as things that can be changed if you have the information exchanged from future to past. We have already seen the transfer of information between Daniel Faraday and Desmond Hume, so why wouldnt it be conceivable that the doomsday futures (such as Jack hitting rock bottom) are still changeable and not a preview of next season?

according to Wikipedia, the last year of the Dragon was February 5, 2000-January 23 2001. and the next year of the Dragon isn't until 2012

I get it, and yes Kate, you are correct. They threw in Jin's flashback to mess with us. So, we know who dies, but, we were supposed to find out who the final two oceanic six are - I only found one ... unless they're counting MIchael? OR, maybe Jin died after they left the island, considering his grave is off island? But then you can always mark a grave for sentiment purposes.

The way I took it was that that particular year was the dragon. Which coincides with the notion that this is a Jin flashback since he'd only been married two months... smile

Interesting - the last year of the dragon was the metal dragon -

one thing that is clear is that ben hates widmore hates ben... a question that i have to ask is, is either of them truthful? and how does this effect the eternal fight between good and evil?
this is what i came up with:

IF WIDMORE IS LYING:
1-it means he is out to exploit the island.
2-ben is protecting the island
3- locke is a good guy also protecting the island
4- sayid's future is justified
5- jack is wrong about going back
6-kate is right about not going back
7-the survivors need to stay to protect the sanctity of the island.
8- desmond's chances of  dying are high

IF BEN IS LYING:
1-widmore wants to protect the island
2- sayid's future is a lie
3-locke's actions are wrong
4-widmore is a good guy
5-jack is right about getting back to the island
6- kate is wrong about not going back
7-desmond chances of living are greater than dying.

IF BOTH ARE LYING:
1- neither is good
2-sayid has been manipulated and his future is a lie
3-locke has been manipulated and his actions ar wrong
4- jack is right about going back; kate is wrong
5-the island survives by itself aat any cost (the island is bad?)

IF BOTH ARE TRUTHFUL:
A- and the island is evil
  1-ben is protecting evil
  2- widmore wants to exploit evil
  3-widmore is bad
  4-ben is bad
  5-sayid is manipulated by ben to protect evil
  6-locke is manipulated by ben and the island to protect bad
  7-jack is wrong and kate is right
B. and the island is good
  1- ben is protecting good.
  2- widmore wants to exploit good
  3- ben may be evil wanting to contain good or good wanting to protect it
  4-widmore could use good for more good or he could use good in an evil way.
  5-sayid in the future is protecting good and preventing it's exploitation
  6- locke is protecting good
  7- jack wants to go back to good
  8- kate wants to stay in an evil world.

any way this goes some of the characters we love will be wrong or evil and others will be good/right... but not always what we want....
