Current favorites

Thought since I had a few minutes of down time I'd drop my 2 cents on the current TV I'm watching.

Still hooked on Stargate Atlantis
Loving "fringe" (JJ has done it again)
House is a show I wish I had taken to sooner, but I'm all caught up after watching all of the previous seasons on DVD in roughly 5 days.
The new Night Rider (not great, but very watchable)
Eureka still one of the best shows nobody knows about.
Dexter (just started watcing it on DVD, and it's great. Not for the faint of heart though as it's a bit moraly off the sideof the map at times)
Random epi's of Man Vs. Wild & Survivorman. Not often but a couple every so often.

that's about it.

Best movie of the last 12 months that I've seen is a tie between Batman: The Dark Night (ledger is amazing as the joker) & No country for old men (amazing cast and one of my new all time favs)

Atlantis ( of course) - Snootch, did you see when Teal'c and Ronan teamed up? By the end Ronan was saying "indeed!laughing.gif"

SmallVille, Supernatural, Heroes, CriminalMinds, and Boston Legal are ones I've been watching.  Eli Stone makes me cry half the time I watch it. There's a hint of New Ageiness that it tosses in with it's representation of God, but it's not overtly and its message is refreshing and positive, without being preachy. I love it!. I'll be resuming Battlestar Galactica when it returns. Numbers came back for another season. I enjoy it, although I get lost in the math ... which is what makes it fascinating to everyone else. I prefer focusing my interest in the relationsships of the characters. I'd like to catch moreLife,  but I haven't been  able to see an episode this year yet.

Of the new shows, I've taken to Fringe, and Christian Slaters "My Own Worst Enemy." I've always loved Christian even if he did have some trouble in the past.  This show is pretty engaging, I don't know how they will keep it going though. I also kind of like Valetine.

I have tried watching Eureka, but I can't really get into it. And  I guess because I prefer  the real Knight Rider, this new one isn't sitting right with me. And why does nooone remember this one being out last year at the same time as the  Bionic Woman? So weird!

I have lost track of Chuck. I hope I can get back into it. I watched it sort of casually last year. It holds my attention, but it's never been a can't miss for me.

Heroes has jumped out of the gate from the beginning this year, and while  it's got action up the wazoo, opposite of last year,  I think it's loosing its connection with the characters. I don't see the character development as much now just a bunch of action and reaction. The first season wasa definately the  best.

BTW, if you search for your shows on imdb, you'll find that there's some new function now where you can watch episodes from the imdb site. I've been catching Numbers and Heroes that way when I've missed them.

Well, everyone has their own opinion.

I watch Atlantis but I have to say that it is a mere placeholder. Nothing original or exciting about it. Seems each show could have been recycled from any other adventure show of the last 50 years.

Fringe: pretty good so far. One objection is that they seem to want us think everything happens in one day.

Sanctuary: worth taking a look at. Amanda Tapping is doing a good job.

Eureka: haven't watched this season yet )it's on tape) but agree that the previous seasons have shown it to be, indeed, the best unknown show on TV.

Knight Rider: is it still on? I think Billy Zane is the car? Whoever it is they were doing a bad job.

Sarah Connor: another placeholder. But Summer is a great Terminator.

And that's one man's opinion.

My tv viewing has dropped this season. I no longer watch DWTS or Heroes, just not interested.

I'm back to watching NCIS. I love that show. (I also am hooked on the triple play NCIS reruns on USA in the afternoons.)

I am watching The Mentalist on CBS. I like it. It's the opposite concept of USA's Psych (which I adore) so it's very interesting to see the different spin on the concept.

Bones, of course, though it has lost some of the charm of previous seasons. Season 1 was still the best, but season 3 did have the Booth/Bones kiss scene, so that gives it a boost in the fun factor.

CSI: NY is my guilty pleasure. I watch it faithfully. I do sometimes watch the other incarnations of CSI but the NY characters are my favorites.

And I watch Numb3rs. Though perhaps not as faithfully this season as in seasons past.

I used to watch Without a Trace and Ghost Whisperer (and Moonlight, cry.gif) but they don't hold my interest anymore. If I feel like it I watch Eleventh Hour on CBS, mostly because it's intriguing to see Rufus Sewell (the lead actor) in a good guy role.

I shouldn't watch so much TV and if I get a job here in the next couple of weeks my TV watching may drop drastically as I try to find the time to get my schoolwork done.

I don't really think of the Mentalist as a type of "phsyc." He's not phsychic, he's just extremely gifted at the art of profiling. To me it's a bit like criminal minds, but with a personal touch. He's very perceptive and he misses no detail.

I never said it was a type of Psych, I said it was the opposite concept. In Psych, he pretends to be a psychic, but it's really super-heightened powers of observation. In The Mentalist, he once pretended to be psychic but now uses his observational powers to solve crimes. Psych is a comedy, The Mentalist is a drama. They're not entirely the same, but they do branch off on the same concept.

I still love the Showtime: Robin of Sherwood series.

I still feel like I'm smoking Daisies when I try to watch Daisies. Sorry, lol.

I have watched all but episode one of The Mentalist now. He is really a clown, my type of guy, funny and serious and thoughtful and truthful.

Actually, I'm probably gonna write a fanfic on The Mentalist. I see no fanfics for it on fanfic.net.   Ihave  written one for Lost, LOTR, Spiderman and Heroes so far.

Hey, I can't find the pilot episode for The Mentalist anywhere. I was trying to figure out how the whole Red John killing his wifeand daughter thing played out.

From all the ids I've watched so far it looks like he came in his home and found them and then encountered the killer trying to escape? It  also looks like he never washed the red face from his wall? Is it still there in their old bedroom as a reminder?  And I see he used to pretend to be a phsychic on TV? Apparently he  thinks he made his wife and daughter victims by setting Red John off through one of his shows??

I wanna include this a bit in my fanfic. Oh well, maybe they'll do a rerun.

OOooo ... i KNEW when I saw Simon Baker I'd seen him in something, but I've never seen the Guardian which seems to be the latest tv show he was in
before The Mentalist. But I finally just got it. He was the guy from The Devil Wears Prada!!! OMG, I totally forgot that! I enjoyed him so much in thateven if he did turn out to be the "bad" guy. He was dashing and charming, sweep you off your feet and that was worth the fall.biggrin
