The Movie Line.

Talk about whatever things movie related you like. Did you just read someones top 10 list, and want to give them an idea of what you thought about it? Or would you like to talk smack about what the best movie ever really is??? Then do it all here.

Great minds think alike! It's cool to find out we all have more in common than Lost.

Man....I can't believe I forgot all about this movie. HoneyP..you have Empire Records on your list. I have this wierd attraction to this flick. I've seen it at least 10 times, and the first time was maybe in 2004. I think some of it has to do with a young and very hot selection of chicas. (Liv Tyler in a mini..mmmmm mmmm) And until just recently when she got all anorexic I've always had a thing for Renee Zellweger. The final scene with Renee on top of the store singing always sticks in my head. And hey...Naming a degenerate "Warren Beaty" is classic.

yeah honey put the Goonies and The Breakfast Club on her list and i love those movies, totally forgot to put them on my list. It's hard to narrow it down, but i see sooo many movies on others lists that i love too. It's like it's a certain mindset that watch Lost or something. And i love how many people have the Kevin Smith on here. Looks like we have that sense of humor

i forgot to put The LIon King on my list too arrrgggh love that movie

and Kiwi i love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that's a great movie, i'm trying to find people who've seen that cause it's very strange, but it's wicked good

and i love The Notebook and Shawshank Redemption as well... damn

Although I didnt place Raising Arizona on my list it does rank up there as one of the funniest movies I've seen! And Ice Age is also one of my favorites!

I couldnt decide between Pitch Black or Varsity Blues and finally left them both off of my list.

Very cool....get some pics to put up for us over here. I'm also getting set up to hit the Midnight showing on Thursday night at our brand new (just opened on Friday) 8 screen theatre. Went to my first show in this place today. WOW!!! Stadium seating is the F'n Bomb!!!!!! So roomy, and you can get close to those you love at the same time. Moveable armrests so if you need em'..use em. Also this screen rivals an I-Max in size. I sat in the 8th row, and with the style of seating this is like 30 ft or so away, and I felt it was almost to close to sit.

I had never been in a theatre with it until then. I can't imagine going anywhere else to see a show now...POTC2 should be killer in there.

Just popped in for a moment to say YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE:

"An Inconvenient Truth", a documentary starring Al Gore.

He is warm and genuine and likeable. History allowed him to not win the US presidency so he could, rather, lead the world.

ww.. i have always liked al gore.. he is funny and personable and intelligent... the us just wasn't ready for someone like him... the  everyman of dubya won out... gore would have led the world into the 21st century and prepared us for the future... instead we get war and mistrust and suspicion and more war.... fight instead of think... what does that tell our children??

If Al Gore is going to lead the world, I'm moving to Mars next week. Him and senator hilary clinton make a real pair, only about half a brain between them, add teddy kennedy to the mix and you have a trio of real losers. Al Gore reminds me of Barry Goldwater, nice enough guy, but nobody trusted either of them. I'd really like to see an outsider run for the pres. postition but it is not very likely. I am so sick of celebrities and politicians getting away with murder, so to speak, I am ready to succeed from the human race. If john q. citizen did what some of them have done he would still be locked up in the clink, for the next forty years. Does O.J.Simpson and Mel
gibson and teddy kennedy ring any bells.

Thanx, LL, I think dubya is showing those few still on the fence what happens when we DON'T have a thinking man in office. Sad to say that there were a few people left in the world who could NOT see what so many of us already KNEW years ago.

The world needs more Al Gores!!!!

I JUST saw Flight 93. If you have not seen this movie I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

What I LOVED about it.

1. It presented the facts. It did not approach it from a biased perspective. The terrorists were not painted as demons, nor were they portrayed as simply troubled human beings who needed empathy in spite of what they did.

2. It portrayed the passengers as every day people who were in an extraordinary circumstance and made a decision to take drastic measures. They were afraid, and they struggled with their decisions. They were decisive and they not rash.

3. It answered a few of my questions as, how did they Gov't get so much information about them so fast.

4. I liked how they built the story around the transcripts from the black box and the various phone calls from the plane.  They didn't sensationalize it, but merely told the story from the facts they had.

5. It portrayed the story without compromising the dignity of the passengers or their families. Instead it treated them with respect.

I can't find a thing that I disliked about it other than the fact that there was a story to be told. The fact that it happened at all. I was pretty skeptical about it being made. I didn't want somebody to go and make a profit off of it and totally disregard the sanctity of what happened and of their lives.

Instead, I think it actually gives us and everyone effected by terrorism, hope. The foundation of the power of terrism is fear. Fear and intimidation. Through these passengers overcoming their fear, coming to terms with it, and fighting back in spite of it and then being able to tell the story sends the message that we will not be govorned by fear and intimidation.  Their suicide martyrs die for world domination ... for slavery if you will, but those passengers on flight 93 died for freedom. They died for life. Who's names will be remembered the longest?

Volts I agree with you completely...to many in the high profile get away with whatever, and the little guy continues to be laid to waste.

LIon....the Flight 93 you've just seen. Was it the one in the theatre or the TV one? I've seen the one on TV, and loved it, and look forward to the one that was made for the big screen. I'm also getting ready to check out the Nick Cage 9/11 flick also.
