I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
Anyone else doing fantasy leauge this year? My team is the Park Slope Yuppies. My draft starts sunday. I wonder who I should get... I guess I shoulda done some research eh?
The colts look pretty good but the patriots look better. Carson Palmer saved my butt this week with his record breaking numbers even though cincinnati lost it in the end. Phew.
The Patriots, Colts, Steelers, Cowboys and... surprise surprise the Packers are all 3-0. So far the biggest let down of the season is St. Louis starting out 0-3. Last years greatest RB, who just so happens to be on my fantasy team, Steven Jackson is having a terrible start to the season.
The Jets and Giants finally get wins this week while the Bills went 0-3 making the three NY teams a combined two for nine.
In three games the prolific Patriots offence, which is accompanied by a top five defence, has put up 114 points. 20 more than a Colts team with an average defence. The Patriots are early favorites to earn a bye week in a conference of sub par teams.
Ladainian Tomlinson has garnered less than 125 yards in three games with one touchdown. However he has played three of the best rush defences in the league so far. Look to the Charges to turn it around starting week four against Kansas City.
The resurgent Green Bay Packers are bad news for the Minnesota Vikings who boast a top five defence but have struggled on the road to produce any offence at all. If the Vikes can get their offense back together and Greenbay cools off look for the Vikings to take control. Both the Bears and Lions have allowed more points then they have scored which the Vikings have not.
Elsewhere the Steelers have the most impressive defence so far and the Cowboys are all around awesome.

IR at least it's not just your team. My Vikes have lost 2 of the 3 losses in the last half, and I dare say pretty much in the last half of the 4th quarter. I wish they'd learn that they are a running team, and when the running game is working like it was against the Pack don't stop. Pound it down their throats. I know there needs to be a pass here or there, but when you have over 150 yds running in the first half. keep doing it. Adrian Peterson had 112 in the first half, and got 4 more carries the rest of the ame....Um...WTF??? Now I'm a believer that you need to give a coach 3 seasons to get his system in and working. Nope...not any more. Childress has no clue, and should be gone before the season is over. Get use a coasch with half a brain.

Bret Favre won't last all season at the pace he is going. GB has won 8 in a row so the bubble is going to burst fast. Minnesota has not played poorly they have just been unlucky.
IR, When the future of your team goes out and puts the cap (in week 8 mind you) on the rookie of the year. You will find a bit of trouble for the other team. AP is a phenom the likes we havven't seen at running back since maybe Barry Sanders in regards to his skill and ability to do things on his own, and to make others look lacking in skill. The SD def. had been averaging someting like only 85 yds a game allowed rushing so far this season. I didn't ecpect anything like the game we put out against them. I figured around 1000 for AP, and a Def that wouldn't stop Gates and Chambers. Well I geuss I can say I was wrong. AP hit's the record books with 296yds, and the Vikes total rushing for the day was 378 yds rushing and a total offensive display of 528 yds. Those are total numbers we haven't sen here since the days of Randall Cunningham, Chris Carter, Robert Smith, and Randy Moss in his early days. So yeah i was shocked to be honest. I had even picked the Vikes to loose in the one Pick Em' league I'm in.
I was just teasing you Snootch. No hard feelings or anything. The Vikes totally deserved to win! And AP was awesome. The Chargers having 10 penalties was pretty lame. It was cool that Cromartie set an unbreakable record though. That was the highlight for the Chargers.
"Trailing, injured, angry and manhandled for three quarters, the Chargers rally for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to force overtime, then beat the Tennessee Titans 23-17 in Nashville on a 16-yard scoring dash by LaDainian Tomlinson."
