I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
The first post I could track as being the first post of Volts. I know there were earlier ones but this is as far as I could get....

"I tend to read books by authors after i try a particular story and like it. My theory is if i like the first one i should make a point of trying anything else he/she has written. I am currently tracking down and reading anything written by S. M. STIRLING, he has written a group of alternate history novels which seem to be highly addictive, i am currently reading "conquistador", the fifth novel of it's type. Another author you might not be familiar with is RANDY WAYNE WHITE, who writes about florida in general and his lead character, doc ford, is as highly addicitive a person you would ever like to meet. The last Post Volts ever made in the Treehouse...

"It will do you good to wonder what I am doing, being here this time of the morning, it gives you something to think about. Our electrical power went off about 2:45 est, some drunken fool shot up the substation supplying our area, and all the cooling oil drained out onto the ground. They had to shut down the transformer before it burnt up and caught on fire. Our P.D. caught him and took his deer rifle away from him. So for the moment we are running my generator just to keep things going, lights, fridges, and air conditioning. I have a project I have been working on anyhoo so I have something to keep me occupied too. I have some equipment made by a company called Netgear that uses your house wiring to connect your 'puters and x box equipment to our cable isp. So far it works real well particulary with my laptop, I can plug in the netgear anywhere in the house and go online from where ever I happen to be. So now you know why I log on for just a minute or so and then log off again. I am not being antisocial, just busy testing my new stuff."
There are other things I'd like to post, but not sure if I should. All to say that it would strengthen the message of the calibur of man our Jim Grills was. A vet and a kind, compassionate man who looked out for the good of those around him.
