interesting episode. i wonder why Sawyer stayed on the island, and what was Kate doing for him? it was nice to see Jack and Kate happy, even if it was only for a little while and even if being happy meant them being together. it was very sad though to see the both of them get hurt in the end

sawyer has stated over and over that he has nothing to go home to... yet there is cassidy and clementine... he may think that his presence would be a bad influence on clem.. he may fear that he will revert to his conning ways... he may find that he is needed on the island to find claire and take care of jin and the camp... a big fish in the small pond.... or maybe he may help to rebuild dharma.... so many possibilities

jack was so happy at the beginning of the episode... then he saw christian... he went to the institution to see hurley and was told don't raise him... he waits there... for what??? his paranoia begins.. he mistrusts kate... he begins drinking... on the island they are being rescued... all seems to be going good... jack is happy... and he gets ill. interesting correlations i thought....
once the island gets under your skin it has you forever... it keeps bringing you back....
