This is the place to come give your reviews for any movies new or old you've just watched. So if you've just seen a movie, and want people to know about it. Write a line in here, and talk about whatever movies you want.
**You can still talk about them in the other threads, but this will allow other people to read about them after the conversation is over. Give a thumbs up or down at the begining of the post to let us know if it was any good. Be the movie critic you've always thought you were.

This is a movie with lots of action and blowing things up and Tom Cruise truly acting - acting like what we haven't figured out yet. It's not a don't misser, but not a don't go seer. Just understand that if you're looking for a plot, well thought out storyline and unpredictableness, you'll be disappointed! But it's worth it to see if you liked Tom's first self-destruct message.
So, if you're bored, wanna go see a movie and nothing else is too interesting, then check out Mission Impossible.
This is a very cute movie with a few punchs that may make it somewhat questionable for youngsters, it just depends. The depiction of the actors personalities really came out in the characters even if they didn't look like them. But, however, Ray Romano only acts as Ray Romano no matter what he's in. It's a very cute movie with a couple of sad parts, but definately worth watching. This is slightly lesser than a don't misser, but not even close to a only go see if your bored.
Lots of action. VERY disappointed at character development. In spite of the heavy advertisement and big anticipation for the entrance of Angel it was nothing more than a mere blip on the radar screen and quite disappointing. Killing off TWO MAJOR characters was another blow. MIA Night Crawler was not even explained or addressed. Last I saw, he had joined the X-Men. Rogue purposely sacrificing her superpowers was even worse - WHAT were they thinking????!!!!
Well, one can ONLY hope that the end at least suggested that this supposed cure for Mutants is a temporary thing and not permanent. It's a DON'T miss for X-Men freaks, but don't expect to have your thirst quenched if you aren't interested in having a whole movie revolved almost soley around Jean Grey/Wolverine. HOWEVER - Frasier was just the cutest thing as the big blue furry Beast - " Furball " as Logan so adoringly named him.
Island_Reigns wrote: Wow! XMen grossed $120 million over the weekend. That's insane! It beat the previous record of $90 million set by Jurassic Park in 1997. How much pricier are tickets these days?? or was it adjusted for inflation?
I didn't even think of that..I think it is adjusted though.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
CARS...What can I say other than that Pixar is kind of the animation world. They hit everything perfect with this. It was funny, and had a great story of friendship, and what's really important in life. It showed that a cartoon can have a great story. The voice actors were picked perfect for the parts again. The Paul Newman and Owen Wilson charactors were perfect.
I give this a 8 out of ten. A must see for anyone who loves a good movie period. And for those who are fans of animated movies. A can't miss.
Well, Cars was, not surprisingly, the #1 movie for the weekend at $62.8 million. The #2 movie was The Break-up at $20.5 million. Looking at the movies coming out next weekend... I'm guessing Cars will stay in the #1 spot.
I'd have to go along with that. Also I think they picked the perfect time to drop this movie into the theatres. Schools out, and they let X-Men have a week or two.

Hallmark Hall of Fame produced a movie a few years back entitled "The Love Letter". Same premise as Lake House, but much more endearing and more heartbreaking because you knew they would never be together. Lake House didn't have the charm of Love Letter and it certainly was far more confusing. In Love Letter, you can clearly tell which time frame you're in because the woman he corresponds with, via a hidden compartment in an antique desk, lives in the 18th century while he lives in the 20th. Lake House was often times confusing since the difference in time was only 2 years.

I'll give it the 3 thumbs up. Loved the style of movie being a fanasy lover. The story was inovative in that it was based more so around the young girl for most of it, and I really enjoyed the side story of the coming together of the brothers. Well done, but I do see they tried a bit to have a look similair to LOTR. I recomend this to anyone who likes anything fantasy from the LOTR series to the Harry Potter series. You won't regret spending time with this show.

No, I'm just a little exited... lol
So one of my friends is watching Superman as I type this. (I think anyway, unless it was too crowded and she couldn't get in.) They are having a special 10pm showing tonight at some theaters. So when I talk to her tomorrow, I'll find out how she liked it.

Second hand lions is a fabulous show....But this post is all about SUPERMAN!!!!!!
I went to see Superman returns today....To anyone who might have questioned bringing this character back after Chris Reeves. They couldn't have done any better. This show was more than I could have asked for. Fantastic story, great acting by all the major characters, and above all...they did things the right way by not going to over the top, and getting away from the original style to much. I can honestly say that had he been alive to see this show reeves would have been proud.
I'll give it 4 thumbs up. This is a must see for anyone who liked the originals.
LL, I love Secondhand Lions... that is a cute movie!
I can't believe Superman made only 52 million for the weekend and 84 million since wednesday. I was expecting it to be huge! I wonder what Pirates will open with?

I'm thinking Pirates will be the biggest of the summer, and maybe even the year... I haven't seen much coming that can compete with it.

the fun in reviewing media for sex offenders, is that i get to see alot of kid movies... how about a cute little flick called 'monkey trouble'... very heart-warming....
I wasn't disappointed with POTC2! I loved it. The cinematography was amazing, the special effects and the creatures were amazing, and it was funny! Of course there's Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!
(The only complaint I have is some kid behind me who's parents haven't taught him/her that it's not polite to kick or push on the chair in front of you. That happens way too often which is why I prefer going to late night shows or sitting in the very last row!)
Oh yeah, stay until the end of the credits if you can.
I've gotta back IR up on the POTC. I was much more impressed than I thought I would be. Seems that they really want to make sure there was no letdown in the story telling at all. As for the acting, I'm thinking Johnny Boy took Capt. Sparrow to a new level, but didn't make it cheap. O.Bloom seemed to flounder a bit at time, as did Kiera. I thought as a whole it was a great show that is a must see for anyone who liked the first one, and ....oh I want to say it, but I'll leave the ending alone till everyone sees it.
