I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."

I think the big deal with this being unused has been that most people that come in either are experienced in boards, or they search out help in other places. No biggie, just nice to have this in case.

I'd have to say that it's more about the floating like Lion said, but if you're in a sailboat I geuss it's still a bit of sailing to....huh...another conundrum
SICCUM, Queenie, git 'em, git 'em git'em. You're absolutely right of course, no question mark?, no question asked. That'll learn 'em. Incidently, steam ships and diesel powered ships still are considered sailing when leaving port, and they don't have a sail between them. So there already.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Again Volts takes me to school. And reprimands me at the same time.
I'll go sit in the corner while the big people play now.

The Clark Company was founded in 1886 by Irishborn David L. Clark who came to America when he was just 8 years old and went to business college while he worked at the tender age of 12. He started his bunsiness in two back rooms of a house in Allegheny, Pennsylvania. In 1917, his company had grown lrge enough to move into a bigger building in a cracker factory where he created more treats such as Clark, Zagnut, and Clark Coconut Crunch bar. ( In 1921 incorporated the Clark Brothers Chewing Gum Company. )
The five cent sized Clark bar was manufactured first in 1917, individually wrapped to facilitate shipment of the candy to American troops during World War I . The CLark family sold their candy business in 1955 to the Beatrice Food Company, which operated the company until 1983.
However, Leaf inc. which actually was created from the Clark Brothers Chewing Gum factory, acquired the confectionery division of Beatrice foods, including Clark. When they decided to move from their locale in Pittsburg, the city protested. THe candy plnt and rights to Clark, Slo Poke and Black Cow were sold, and D.L. Clark became part of the Pittsburgh Food and Beverage Company and then resold in June of 1995. IT was renamed Clark Bar America and distribution. But it had financial difficulties again, and was bought out in 1999 by the New England Confectionery Company.
Frank Mars and wife Ethel started making their candy in 1911. In 1920, they thoughht up the idea to make a malt candy which became the Milky Way ... or in many European Countries .. The Mars Bar! IN the 1930's Forrest Mars had the idea of putting a coating over chocolate to keep it from melting, hence, he invented M&M's - which became a staple candy sent to US Troops.
In 1936, Mars created the US version of the Mars Bar, which sold until 2000 when the name was changed to Snicker Almond.
Thus in short, the Clark bar preceeded the Mars Bar - all three mars Bars.....
