I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
Wash away my troubles, wash away my pain With the rain in Shambala Wash away my sorrows, wash away my shame With the rain in Shambala
*Ooooh... yeah Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah*
*This part repeats twice after each verse
Everyone is helpful, everyone is kind On the road to Shambala Everyone is lucky, everyone is so kind On the road to Shambala
How does your light shine In the halls of Shambala How does your light shine In the halls of Shambala
I can tell my sister 'bout the flowers in her eyes On the road to Shambala I can tell my brother 'bout the flowers in his eyes On the road to Shambala
How does your light shine In the halls of Shambala How does your light shine In the halls of Shambala Tell me how, how does your light shine In the halls of Shambala Tell me how, how does your light shine In the halls of Shambala
it was ok... although a whole lot of nothing has happened in the last two episode. Meh. I'm glad to see a lighter episode... now I want to see some action!
While people (especially Tibetan lamas) have been searching for Shambhala for centuries, those who seek the kingdom often never return, either because they have found the hidden country and have remained there or because they have been destroyed in the attempt
I agree, it was a fun episode. Jin bringing Sun her white flower ... Sawyer and Kate .... wait, where's Kate ? Hmmmm, why's Sawyer sitting around looking at the couples ? Oh, heehee, cause she's out with Sayid and Locke to go get Jack back!
heeheee ......
Okay Okay, I sorry .... but I will say if it were Sawyer, she'd be doin the same thing .....
I have a question about the 8 track tape and the EMP on the island... since 8 track tapes are made of magnetic tape, wouldn't the electromagnetic activity on the island warp it or ruin it in some way? I don't know much about that subject... Volts would.. (((volts)))
CM nice to see you again. Now...I don't think that the pulse would have effected the tape. It's recorded that way with the magnetic tape, but the main thing an EM pulse does is to kill or ruin anything with a circuit board. So that would work. Along with all of the old parts from that bus. The bus wouldn't have any circuit boards. Only old transistoprs, and the engine would be all straight combustion. So it does make sense with that all still working. If I'm wrong cool, but from what I've read on EM that's what I'd figure was going on.
I liked this epi for the same reasons most everyone else did. The Lighter side. Sort of like when Hurley made the golf course. Fun, and a break from the serious. I do however need to know one thing.....now we finally have seen Vin again, but....where's Rose and Bernard? I mean at the end of last season we were seeing them if nothing else becoming a part of the gourp, and being seen in the BG of most epi's even if they weren't involved dirrectly. OK...Bernard was actually one of the last people we got to see before the end of the season when he pulled Claire out of harms way when the hatch lid came flying down at them. Why are they not even seen this season yet, but we still have these two noobs that have nothing to add whatsoever?

It's almost like another version of Sun and Jin, but they haven't moved on, and grown like Jin/Sun have. There's so much going on with them now that it's nice to watch.
Well, supposedly the noobs are there because we will be seeing an episode this season that centers around these two and what they and the other background people were doing while our main people were off on their adventures.
But I agree... I'd much rather see Rose and Bernard!
Why show us the rest of the peeps regular activities...I mean I can'r see it being very interesting. The only thing I can see is them fishing, finding fruit, bumpin uglies, building shelter. What other thing would they do that would be worth anything?

I don't know. I think it's just that Damon and Carlton are trying to give the audience what they want and this was one of the things people kept whining and complaining about.... who are all those people in the background and what are they doing? Whine complain whine complain.....
Just like this past episode. It's what people were asking for... a lighter episode more about our main losties and more like season 1. They give the people what they ask for and

It feels to me like a metaphor for life. How difficult it is to accept new people. How new people have to prove themselves. How some people will never accept new people into a group. (Kinda like some older posters on the ABC boards!!!)
So I see it as intolerance, IMHO. You are free to disagree.

((((snootch))) thanks.. i doubt that van had any computerized parts.. lol.. regardless of the incredulity of a van being able to start after decades in the jungle, this episode was great. I love Hurley. LOST isn't all about mythology and secret groups of Others... it's also about normal people like Hurley who have something extraordinary happen to them (winning the lottery) and how it affects them... Hurley never changed. The people around him did.
Wday...I have no problem accepting new people. I would even go as far to say I'm Ok with them being there, and what not. IF...and I do mean IF. If they actually had some backstory. I know we're suppposed to be getting an epi focusing on them soon, but to just sort of throw out Bernard and Rose isn't any better.
Regardless this show still has me. I love it for all it will be in the future as much as what it's been so far.
I thought this was a cute quote from Kristen on E!:
Honestly, I would so watch a show that was nothing but Red Neck Man, Jinbo, Jiminy Crickett, Snuffy and the dog, hanging out and talking to skeletons with the last name Workman.
