Mr Snootch,

I hope you can help me. See the previous two posts?

I didn't get the larger font size and a great huge gap between the original message and the response until you revised the Treehouse. This has carried over to my regular e-mail account and is very annoying. I did not do anything back at my regular e-mail and the first I noticed it was here.

Since you are the Master PC Guy Extraordinairre I was hoping you might be able to clue me in on what has happened to cause this even if the Treehouse is not the cause.  I don't have a clue as to why this has happened nor where to change a setting to correct it.

Help!

So, we now have a universe of two for this concern.

I don't mind it happening here but it looks stupid in my regular e-mail account.

Like I don't know what I'm doing.......and I don't but I would like to fix it somehow!

Well sad to say I believe that it's because of the style that is actie here right now. The grey with black styl that is. I believe it has something to do with that. I guess I'll be testing a coupleother looks here tonight. I'll see what I can do Grey.

Grey, I contected the help desk about your issues. So is this only affecting your e-mail, and here? Or does t look like it's hit any site you use?

Well, please realize I have a limited Net live so I am here, the ABC board and my two Yahoo mail accounts.

ABC if fine.

Both Yahoo accounts are weird like here if used from this machine. From another machine they are fine. I am not going to try this site at another machine for fear of messing other machines up as well in regard to this.

So, I'm figurin' it's a setting somewhere that the ol' revised Treehouse did somehow 'cept I don' know what it is!!!

Mr Snootch,

Hey, I know stuff happens.

If you can come up with a solution then I will be eternally grateful!

I only hope it extends to my Yahoo accounts so I don't look stupid!

-----------------------------------------------------------

I just noticed the font size appears normal now but the gap remains.

Now here the gap is after the message. In Yahoo the gap is before the message. But with editing the gap appeared before the message here as well.

OK...so much fr good service.furiousfuriousfurious
Here's the reply I got back from the help desk.furiousfurious

Hi Snootch2danootch,

This poster - completely inexplicably - is posting a 250 pixel high
table containing the user's post, every post. I am at a complete and
utter loss about what might cause this.

It could be that that that user is copying every post from somewhere and
then pasting it in causing strange formatting, or doing it on purpose
and playing dumb.

I can assure you that there is no possible way that Activeboard is
influencing the other user's email. I imagine this is indeed a text
size issue.

Text sizes in most web pages are very commonly set in pixels. Internet
Explorer 6, unlike every other browser in the world, is unable to change
the size of text set in pixels. So, it could quite plausibly be that
the user only goes to websites with pixel sizing, with the exception of
Activeboard and his Email. Even on Activeboard, most things are
pixel-sized, but posts aren't. So there's my diagnosis; I can't do any
better without more information.

Cheers,
Sparklit Support

WTF???? Nothing they can do.

I guess I'll ask both LL and Grey. Are you in fact using IE 6? I still don't know why that should effect it, but I'm going to try changing a couple more things soon, and we'll see if I can fix it since the assclowns at activeboard don't know how to.

Well due to the fact that I'm on my own to try and solve this rddle for Grey and LL. I'm going to try a few things, and see what happens.

And as you can see the font size is cool but the huge gap persists.
Yes, IE 6.0.something.

No, I am not copying anything that I am aware of.

No, I am not playing dumb.

So very sorry Grey. With having moved back here I thought it was going to be a good thing all around, and now it's getting into your e-mail. I am thinking of trying the one thing I haven't tried yet. Shutting the place down and re-opening it again. Or maybe if I get this place back to the most basic of the basic settings it'll fix the issues. I'm really at a loss right now.

Just to mention that the e-mail problem is local to the machine I am using at this moment.

It goes away if I use a different machine. Can't say how it is if I use a different machine for this site 'cause I don't want to risk messing up another machine.
