So, here's the deal. You know how we've all thought how mean Ben is for holding people hostage on the island and not letting them go home? Well, what if he's actually right ? And what if Locke knows what Ben knows?
If the island is out of the time demension as the rest of the world, then should someone return from the island he/she would return to a place much different from when they left. Think of how much harm that could cause?
I'm not defending Ben. He's a royal creep, but still ... it's an interesting thought. And it accompanies my other thought that maybe when Jack makes that call, the people on that boat really do believe the oceanic survivors are dead and so they unleash on them and that's why Jack is so distraught once back home again.
I have more thrashing about in my head, but this is the general idea.
I also wanted to throw this in from a comment I made on DarkUfo's site. Having to do with the bunny in the vid from comicon...
Just something to think about. A rabbits life expectancy ranges up to at least 15 years. So, was the rabbit that adult Ben carried in his bag the same rabbit he used to test the barrier when he was a kid? BOTH rabbits had the number 8 on their backs. So, did Ben and or Richard somehow shift time deminsions or something and this explains why Richard hasn't aged? I'm just shooting sporatic thought out here. But it seems an unlikely coincedence that they would be dealing with these marked rabbits after we've already seen the marked one that Ben has carried around with him supposedly since he was a child. But then, Alex is 16 years old and that would pretty much encompass the life of a rabbit right there, so ...
