and Mick! first when he thought he had lost his best friend and was crying ( Beth hugged him )and second when he was so happy at the end and enthusiastic about doing stuff with Beth and she turned him down
"I don't know, something fun. Something quintisentialy New York." He was grinning wider now, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "We'll catch a set at the village vanguard. A couple of martinis. A steak for the lady. Just you and me, on the town." He looked so cute, and his excitement was so infectious, that Beth couldn't help but grin along with him. "Come on," he said, pulling her towards the waiting taxi.
I loved his excitement, like he hadn't felt in ages!
i know! he looked so cute when he was saying all that i liked writing that part
Beth didn't want to take advantage of his new found emotions. Plus, she couldn't just dump her boyfriend and go out and have fun. I think she felt she owed it to her boyfriend to officially end their relationship.
i think the Josh thing was mostly just an excuse, i think she just needed some time to think about things
but Beth is the kind of person who would want to end things with Josh before really starting something with Mick, so we'll just have to see
i hadn't read that part of your story when I said that! You wrote it beautifully!
