Agreed, family history is very interesting indeed!!
I couldn't tell ya. i know my great grandfather came over here from Finland, but i have no idea when, or anything. A good deal of my history is unknown to me. I have a feeling it would cost a good deal of money, and time I have no extra of to find out.

Time yes, money not so much i wouldn't think so... must information is available as public records and so on!!! Having said that i'm not sure 100%, i mean i've had it made easy as i've had books written by a member of my family on either side... so its all right there for me to pick up at any time... i'm VERY lucky in that respect!!

I think I'm going to shoot to make LL's new ones, and then a batch of like at least 5-6 sets of Avi's and banners this weekend. i'll start finding pics over the next couple nights here at work. Whoa... this is a great profile for Lost sigs. I might use one for a while till I make a few new ones. Check these out though. https://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/doukungfoo/

my niece spent a lot of time in st paul in the public records dept looking up names and birthdates and also found the name of the ship my grandparents came on. she said it was much work but she enjoyed it!
There's a family history library an hour or so south of where I am now located. It's free to use and has records from all over the world. So if you're ever this way, free access to genealogy/family history.

Dan we have a great show called "The Office" (yep a re-make of the BBC version) We americanized it though. Still great, and Steve Carrel (40 yr old virgin ) is awesome in it. The BBC version is better though. i've seen a few epi's online, and on the BBC america channel.

Not for me. My grandpa on my mom's side wrote his own. My grandma did one for herself of just her life. She also did one for one of her ancestors. I want to do one for my dad so that my children and my brother's children will know who he was, but I don't have that many pictures and stories and his family doesn't seem to want to help me out with it. I've asked them twice for pictures and stories and never gotten anything. I wanted to do it for a Christmas gift for my mom and brother this year but that likely won't happen.

Oh and BTW Dan, i must say you were right. Red Dwarf is pretty damn good. I've only caught 2-3 epi's so far, but since they are on the site that I watch most of my older shows on I'll get around to them in order soon.
