i am so tired tonight. i got up at 8:00am and left the house around 8:30 to go up to the ranch( my grandparents little ranch up in the mountains), my brother shot an elk this morning and i had to help him drag half of it off the hill. then when we got home with the elk i took a break for about an hour, well it wasn't really a break it was more of just not helping with the elk so that i could clean my house. after i cleaned my house i helped skin and quarter up the elk for the next 5 hours or so
Surprisingly, she found Danielle by the stream, filling a bottle of water. Sarah couldnt help but ponder the resemblance between she and Alex, oblivious of her intense staring. She shifted her feet awkwardly when the woman flicked up a steely glare. "I ... I was just gonna wash my face. "
Danielle said nothing. Sarah flicked a nervous glance on her, and then moved towards the stream, bending over and splashing the crisp water over her face. Tiny flecks wedged between her eyelashes created sparkles of light above her eyes. She would have enjoyed the feeling immensely had Danielle not remained, stiffly watching her.
She turned and offered meagerly. "She ... she looks just like you."
Nothing.
"S ... she doesnt know. She thinks ... Ben ... Henry ... she thinks ..."
I'm still not certain if I ended the last chapter well. I kinda don't feel the effect I wanted it to have and it seems nearly forced and kind of disconnected to the stuff before it.
OIC - like deer. Most of the adult men in my family, when I was a kid, hunted deer. I once got a ten point antler set from one of the kills. They would hang the salted skin outside in the garage, along with rabbit.
