it is hard to understand how anyone could get to that point, i would like to see what happened to Jack to make him like that

guilt is quite a motivator.. remember as a child getting caught at doing something and the feeling gnawed at you til you just had to do something to feel ok about yourself again? tht's what has happened to jack... he wants his life to be right again... to go to the island and change what made him feel bad about himself and what he did... to fix things again

Tom was my favorite Other. I don't know why, he just reminded me of a few of my old friendly camp counselors. It was the way he talked
