Yea, I know I missed a great ending. But how much was there to go from the point of the meeting in the bathroom? That so reminded me of the meeting with Jin and the guy who worked for Sun's father.
and, what did we learn about Daniel?
it's hard for me to remember how much more there was after that, i was having a hard time wrapping my head around the episode. there was a scene with Desmond and Penny in the past, and that made me wonder a little bit at the end.
and we learned that Daniel wrote a note to himself that Desmond is his constant
I'm trying to figure out how the time thing works. If the difference is only within the space between the island and the outside world? Or if the difference is in both places? If so, what's the difefrence? How does it relate to say, if you arrived on island at 20 years old, how old would you then be if you returned to the real world 10 years later?

Okay, when you take the current Des, the one we know in the present, then it's easier to make sense out of. 1996 Des's consciousness was thrown into the future as they were going to the freighter in the helicopter.
So, each time he's flashing back and forth between the two different times. That's why your guy, Minka something said he was just on a ferris wheel.
Des jumps to the past - which technically is his present and then jumps back to the future. Each time he's like, wtc? and then he has to figure out how to deal with everything that's going on around him in his environment.

good question!
You see where I'm going with this right? Aside from my thoughts on how old Ben really is and maybe that explains why he still had the #8 bunny when he was a kid umpteen year later and why Richard looks the same age, I'm also wondering if I should be adding into it with my story. Should sarah now be younger than she is if she were off island? If so, then for her and Jack to have known each other when he was a teen, she'd have to be older on island.
If there's a time difference only within the space between the island and the outside world, then that's not a problem. BUT, if there's say a 20 hour difference. Then there'd be a 304 day difference between the island and the real world every year. A year on the island would be 65 days to the outside world.

well how long after the plane really crashed did the freighter people(Daniel, Frank, etc. ) hear about the fake crash? and how long did it take them to get the operation up and ready to go? they have been on the island what, 93 days now?
