i got my Twilight CD today!!!!! my mom let me open it early! it is so awesome!!!!!!!!! and i can download it on my computer! even more awesome! now i can listen to it any time
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
I'm ok. Had a strange thing happen the other day. I had the video card issue with my 360 that I told you about. Well since they were going to make me pay for the repiars I decided to say screw that noise, and cause the RROD on purpose. Well I did just that on Monday morning. After calling MS to get the coffin ordered (arrived today) I decided WTF and tried turning on my 360 with the controller just to see if the RROD would still be there. Nope.... BUT... all be darned if the dang screen wasn't back, and it's been working like a charm since. I'm still sending it in on like Wed or Thur next week or before that if it stops working. I have them ready to take care of it, and I'm going to do that before I have more problems.

So how have you been?
that's cool that it working again, at least for now definitely need to send it in and get it fixed though
i've been good, really enjoying the Twilight CD it's been so long since i've had a story read to me, it's nice
Oh... so it's a book on CD thing? I was going to do the Harry Potter books like that. I have heard great things about them. The voices are supposed to be really good. I prefer reading them though. I'm now just under 1/2 way through the 2nd book. Not bad since I started reading the 1st one last week.

Hey LL I miss being around also, but I honestly am trying to find other outlets for my time. Working on getting away from the 360 and everything. I need to change things up in my life right now. I'll still be dropping in, but I just feel like I need to change things up. Something doesn't feel right as they are.

we understand Snootch we will miss you but will always be happy to see you when you stop in
Thanks KIL. I have to say that I now understand even better why you love reading so much. I've always felt lucky that the one thing my mom instilled in my sis and myself was our love of reading. It's been a thing we both have always done. My sister actually reads more than I do. She's the one I'm borrowing the H Potter books from. I've got up through the 4th from her right now.

totally understandable! what's missing? where do you want to be?

my mom read to me (and my brother) when we were young, every night almost. and then i started reading little books as i got older, but i found i had a problem when reading. i would come across a word that i didn't know or couldn't pronounce(sp?) and get stuck. i didn't think i could go on reading until i figured out the word. and i got stuck on many words back then.
but when i got the 4th HP book my mom wouldn't read it to me (understandable as it is 734 pages!) so i tired to read it myself but had the hardest time. when my mom finally asked why it was so hard for me i told her that i didn't feel like i would understand the book if i got stuck on certain words. what finally got me past that was when my mom told me that even she didn't know every word in a book, and that you didn't have to know every word to understand the main story.
after that i found it easy for me to read, and as i read more i learned the meaning of more and more words.
I honestly don't know LL. I know that some of it has to do with this job. I no longer feel like I'm enjoying it here. Overall I loved working here up until about 2 months ago. That's when I started getting drilled on for no reason, and after to other night I looked at the past few months schedule, and I noticed that I've worked the same 2 units every shift other than 5 shifts over the last 2 1/2 months. That's insane! The super has some issue woith me for whatever reason. maybe because I'm no longer willing to work 3 OT shifts every week. I don't really know. Outside of that I just feel like I'm wading around in mud. Not sure what's up or missing or whatever. Just know I need to figure something out. I'm hoping that with spring/summer coming I'll figure it out.

it will come... and all will fall into place. you will end up where you need to be and are supposed to be... and angie too. is she still in school? how much longer does she have before finishing??
KIL, that's one thing I have always done myself. I really started reading back in HS. I could read ok before that, but once I got going it took off. I didn't understand everything I was reading all the time, but I think that's why I feel into the fantasy stuff so much. i could use my imagination as much as my knowledge. Over time my knowledge caught up with my imagination because I was reading so much.
Yeah she's still in school. She's got her AA already, but she's going through to get her Bachelors now, and may go on to her masters after that. She doesn't know for sure about the master though. She wants the education, but also she really wants to be done with school.
it's a love story mostly, but the guy(Edward) happens to be a vampire. the books are really good though. how Bella(the main character) deals with things is interesting. i really like her. i think it is a very good love story, full of emotion and even some good action/fight scenes. more of a girly book than a guy book though. still, you might like it, but if not, Kala might like it in a few years
I doubt I'd like it. :( As for Kala.... meh i've tried hard (not pushing though) to get her to read, but sadly it's not going to happen. Maybe as she gets older she'll find it, but I'm doubting it. She's not much of a book kid at all.

bummer books are so wonderful! everyone should read!
I can't believe it ... I couldn't do anything because the stupid computer froze up. I rebooted and now Snootch is gone! I wanted to ask him where that site is to watch the movies.
