Out of curiosity, are the court battles revolving around the police raids at the FLDS ranch in the news where you guys are? It was the lead story tonight on the news here.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if I had them in the right order. I'll fix that now. I still can't decide between starting Twilight and reading the third Fablehaven book.

it's medium blue and goes really well with the pic. the words are easy to read, too

That answers that question. When the police and DCFS and such went into the polygamy ranch and took out like 400+ children and put them in state custody. (The FLDS church is a polygamous sect which long ago broke off of the LDS church years and years ago and is no longer affiliated in any way with the LDS church.)

i would say read the Fablehaven book first, then you can focus on the Twilight books

i would say read the Fablehaven book first, then you can focus on the Twilight books

we had something like that happen here in northern New Mexico like two weeks ago. the police arrested the leader of some cult in north-eastern N.M. (near Raton)

Yes, it was in Texas. But because many people seem unable to disconnect the FLDS sect from the LDS church we get a lot of news coverage up here. And there are several polygamist compounds here in the state.

What's interesting though, is that supposedly the tip that was called in was done by a woman who'd done this sort of thing before ... called the police for something like that.

Yeah, but I think the cops would rather be safe than sorry when the safety of a child is concerned. Though the call was a hoax, they found probably cause for what they did when they actually got inside the compound. (Which is designed to keep people in, not keep people out.)

Oh heavens no. The only reason I said that last Sunday was because I'd made all four recipes that I posted in the recipe swap. I was cooking for 2 1/2 to 3 hours straight for what is really only 2 dishes. I was tired.
