Any luck with the job search? What kind of job are you looking for?
No luck yet. Any job that will take me, really. I'm limited though because I don't have any references and several applications I've picked up I've not been able to actually turn in because of that. The meeting was a building meeting. I'm sure it was just "These are the rules, let's get to know each other." I had no interest in meeting anyone and I know the rules.
Oh right, the references. How did you get around that before? What are people supposed to do when it's their first job I wonder?
Other jobs I applied for I still had people I could put down. The first job I ever got though I didn't even apply for. I interned for one of the managers at Barnes and Noble, through a class I took in high school, and when that internship was done I asked the store manager if they were hiring. He said "Do you want a job?" and I said sure. Then he said I was hired. I filled out an application so that they had it for my files, but there was no interview process or anything.

Yeah. I want to work because it will keep me from getting too bored, but if my past jobs are any indication (aside from the serving job) I'll still be home a lot.

They say we might get rain on Friday and that it's going to be a gloomy holiday weekend.
We're supposed to have rain here every day for the next 6 days. Memorial weekend is always like this though. Growing up in CA we always tried to go boating or something on Memorial Day and generally ended up having to cancel our plans because of poor weather.

We've only got a couple days now till the Ugly Betty finale. Have you caught any of the previews for it? (I didn't read your spoiler in the thread because I don't want to know.)

Are there other things you can do for fun off-campus... like cooking classes or dance classes or something?

I haven't seen any previews. Since I watched it online I didn't see the preview that they usually show at the end on tv.

Probably but those require money. I spent this month's play money on books.

OK. I wasn't sure if you'd been watching anything else on ABC because they're promoting the tar out of this finale.
Spoiler
Hilda's storyline heats up. And we're going to have another Henry storyline cliffhanger more than likely.

Oh, yeah I haven't watched anything on abc this week. No, don't watch Bones.
Yeah, Bones' finale not so sweet and not so romantic.
Spoiler
Except maybe when she decked David Boreanaz' character for not telling her he wasn't really dead and that the funeral for him was a fakeout to catch a bad guy.

Yeah. Many fans of the show were none too happy with the season finale. I thought it did everything that a finale is supposed to do despite not liking the outcome of a storyline.

I'm disappointed in some of the finales this year too. They must've been in a big hurry when they wrote some of them. They seem either dumbed down or melodramatic. I wonder whatever happened to character development. You've got to have a little humor to offset the drama of the rest of the show. Lost does that.
