Spoiler: My mom thinks that whatever the reason Edward and the members of the Volturi can't use their extra abilities on Bella is important. She also thinks that Edward is going to have to sacrifice himself in some way to save Bella. I think that the Cullens are going to have to end up defeating the current Volturi and they'll then be the ones who sort of govern the world's vampire community. Then Bella can stay human.

Is it wrong for me to wish she'd end up with Jacob and not Edward? I really prefer their relationship and I like what she is when she's with Jacob. I also want her to stay human. The thought of him, or any of the Cullens for that matter, turning her makes me physically ill.

Spoiler: I don't think it's wrong to want her to be with Jacob, I don't want that but I know lots of other people do The love she has with Jacob is very different from the love she has with Edward. I guess it just depends on what you perfer

Why don't you like the thought of her being turned? The pain? The thirst that she will have for blood? or that it will, in a sense, kill her?

I actually can't wait for her to be turned, but only so she and Edward can be together forever

I think that Bella's "ability" to block people from getting into her mind will have a major role to play in what power she has when/if she becomes a vampire. maybe she'll be able to block all powers of other vampires?

It would be interesting if the Cullens governed the vampire world, but I don't think that is going to happen. We will see smile If they did though, I still don't think Bella would remain human, Edward has agreed to change her, and it is what she wants. Even without the threat of the Volturi, she would still want to be changed, just to be with Edward for all time.

Spoiler: I don't know why I get physically ill when I think about her becoming a vampire, I just do. It's starting to not affect me so much anymore though. But that first night after I'd read the books I went to bed and woke up feeling ill because of it. Same with the night after that. But then it's been ok.

You're welcome. You might want to stay out of them since they cover all 3 books. I'm done discussing the books for a while though. I've found that if I keep my mind off them and don't talk about them, the effects that the books have had on me (i.e. the sick feeling in my stomach) are kept at bay.
