I wish I could say it landed me a good job, but unfortunately it didn't :/

The interview was fabulous. I prepared for the questions, had some info on the company itself to throw out there as part of my incentive for working there. I played up the fact that I live less than a half a mile away and everything.

I spoke with the pharmacist in charge after speaking with the senior technician and she told me they were interviewing other people, but that the technician wanted her to talk to me because she said I was worth talking to.

Came back the next day to present my resume and was told that district called them earlier that morning and said they were not hiring another technician but that they were going to fill the position with a pharmacy student.

So, that was that. I'm still looking. I can cover rent for August. Dunno about utilitites. I paid the whole entergy bill so if I pay it late it will carry over through sept probably - hopefully - not sure about phone/internet.

Unemployment is still heldup and they said they have a backlog - of course they do and if I just give up they won't hunt me down when the "backlog" is cleared either, now will they?

Other than that - ha, I could so get used to not punching in a time clock every day - lmao.gif

Taking it a day at a time.

After being screwed by the company I worked for for over 27 years, seeing state workers retire with fabulous pensions and benefits, watching corporate executives and Wall Street types exploiting the rest of America for their own greed and now seeing the federal government expand in the midst of this severe recession, I have advised my children to set their sights on government jobs.

Although I have not pursued the link above, it is my understanding it is the official site for starting the search.

At the least, it is something to check out.

 I have been good, working and hanging out with my boyfriend heart.gif he says hi. i own my little truck now! i bought it a few days before my 18th birthday! i was so happy!

My brother and his GF broke up a few weeks ago, she had been cheating on him for a few months and was being a real %$&# to me for a long timefurious but she is gone now!

that's about all that has been happening in my life recently. i will try my best to be on here more often cause i miss you guys lots and lots!!!!!! heart.gif

i tried posting yesterday and nothing would take....

i decided to have shadow put to sleep tomorrow. he is doing poorly... not eating... hurting... it's humane. he's my love and my heart right now and i will miss him.... cat that he is....

thanks island! we were together for 16 years! he was a very good cat and gave me lots of happy memories... not to mention the occassional squirrel or mouse! he is being cremated and will be with me for a long time.
