I'm still very confused on what they're doing with him next season. If he's dead(not likely) then that's that, but if he's not what then?? Does he start taking command of things now that the other three are gone? I'm also wondering if he's going to look at trying to fix the button. Seeing as how the whole not pushing it blew up in his face (literally).

is this locke's chance to lead and to work on his self confidence??? he has the humility needed to make a good leader... much like sayid... but then will jack, kate and sawyer come marching over the hills in triumph over the others and come back to a much changed beach community... working on survival and complacency of living....
Season 3 for Locke is going to be interseting. Is he dead or alive? I'm going with alive. So what then? I mean the button has to be destroyed after what happened in the hatch right? I have a thought on that...It very well could be OK. I mean the CPU didn't seem to be flying towards the magnet during the whole time they showed the area down there, and if it did then can it be fixed? Locke now knows without a doubt that it's all to important to not push the button. Does he survive, and head on a quest to find another of the hatches to maybe be able to use for the same thing, or at least pilage a CPU from another hatch? He will be tested again at some point this season if only because he's been tested both seasons so far. Why stop now? His test this season could be in his faith in himself, and wehter he has it in himself to become self sufficant, and fogive the things from his past.
Almost forgot...Season 3 I hope to see what happened to make him a cripple. Or like I've seen mentioned elswhere is it all a figment of his mind, and this place just has allowed him to not have his mind slowing him down.

they have promised us another evolution in the character of locke... what happens to a person when their faith has been tested??? it can become stronger and belief in the unknown can become that much more... fun and magical... unexplainable things could happen then with the security system/smoke and with the apparitions on the island.... mind over matter perhaps??? or liocke could go sour... denying his faith and the things it can do... the island could become his nemesis at that point... he would be at odds with nature and nature would retaliate... not pretty.... which way will the writers go???

the relationship between locke and sayid is really rather interesting... locke has always seen and wanted sayid as an ally... perhaps he is the warrior part of locke that locke can't be... sayid, even tho his first response is to interogate and question someone's intentions, has done this with locke and locke seems to have passed the test each time...
sayid must see locke as honest... this creates trust... and friendship... eventually these two should have some adventures together beginning with jack's rescue.
As far as the thing between him and Sayid I can see it happening, but it won't last. Locke relies to much on his hope and faith in things. Sayid follows things that are present, and doesn't fall into hope and thinking things MIGHT happen.
As for the sailboat..I'm geussing it'll be back. I think Sayid and the other two will get back on it..maybe that's where Hurley will go to meet up and get back to the beach.

loook deeper into sayid... he may be anchored in the present but he is spiritual... and he will reach out to other people...look how he supported shannon... i think the interplay with locke and sayid will be interesting... sayid can be an anchor for locke and locke knows this...
this is one developing relationship worth watching this coming year...
