I think Season 3 for him will be one of two things. Either Rose stays alive, and he watches over her, and coddles her a bit. OR......She dies, and he becoomes a island vigilante. Going after whomever he can in any way possible to find out the truth about the "Others" and what is going on. He is a love sick puppy without her,but I believe he's a strong man and will not just fade away without her. He will remain strong, and use his brains (not something he's needed yet) to help everyone else.
