I'm re-reading one series by David Eddings, in preparation of reading another of his series which contains pretty much the same character spread. He has one character that I absolutely love and cannot compare to any character I've ever come across in all my reading. I love every word of dialogue to come out of this character's mouth and I look forward to any event which involves him, and most do in both series. Everyone needs to read the Belgariad and then the Mallorean just for this character. You'll know him when you read it.

Amendment to my book rec list: Do not read David Eddings' series The Dreamers. It is absolute crap and not worth reading. His other books are good, but not this series.
