here's my My Top 10 (could change who knows? LOL

1)anything by Stephen King, but esp The Dark Tower Series and The Stand: The worlds he creates in these are like no other, a great fantasy landacape with vivid characters. Made me want to start writing. But i could never do anything this good

2)The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Simply amazing is all i can say, i think i read them back to back in like 3 weeks time.

3) Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi: the best true crime book ever written IMO You see the case from beginning to end learn to make sense of what seemed like a senseless crime.

4) Faithful by Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan: the best and truest look at the Red Sox Championship season, through the eyes of two fans. It was written over the course of the season and no one knew the eventual outcome when they first started writing it in the spring of 2004

5) Great Expectations by Charles Dickens: fell in love with this book in junior high, still one of my favorite classic novels of all time.

6) Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury: as relevant now as when it was written, stunning imagery and startling parallels to todays world including floor to ceiling tv screens and overdeveloped politcal correctness.

7) Who Stole Feminism by Christina Hoff Sommers: And ardent feminists take on how the feminist movement has been corrupted by radicals who do more harm than good.

8) Macbeth by Shakepeare: still my favorite all time of all his works.

9) A Delusion of Satan by Frances Hill: a great look at the Salem Witch Trials, showing the thruth behind the myth of a great tragedy.

10) The Tribe of Tiger by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas: a must read for cat lovers, providing cluse to the mystery of feline beharvour.

there's tons more but those are my personal favorites :D

Well being the nerd that I am I lov just about anything fantasy, and sci-fi. Heree's a list of my top 10.

1. The Chronicles (Dragons of Autumn twilight, Dragons of winter night, Dragons of spring dawning) If you like Tolkien you'll love this seiries.

2. The Soveriegn stone trilogy (Wiess and Hickman again)

3. The Hitchickers Guide to the galaxy series. (simply the best sci-fi humor around)

4. "HOPE" series by David Feintuch. (Like Starhip Troopers, but way better. Great characters that you want to really get to know.)

5.Bill The Galactic Hero series by Harry Harrison. (more Sci-fi comedy..Starship Troopers with a "BIG" splash of humor)

6. "I am Jackie Chan" the biography of his life from being put into a Chinese Drama school to his early runs at American films. A must for anyone who's a fan of his. Also a great story of someone overcoming adversity.

7. "The Hobbit" it's the book that I can blame for starting my journey into fantasy. (As of my 35th birthday and the 8th reading of this book is still the reason I want to be a writer)

8. The "LOTR" series defines what a great storyteller Tolkien was.

9. "The Stand" Steven Kings only book that got me to read the whole thing. The whole thing was an amazing vision created in my mind while reading it.

10. Have too many that deserve to still make the list, but noe that stand out above the rest. I'll keep this spot open.

I have to start this off by saying that while I like reading now, I used to hate it. That's why I don't have a complete 10. We were always forced to read what the school wanted us to read and I hated that so I just read what I had to and didn't read anything else. I know enjoy reading, but don't really have time. I need to pick something and just make time to read it. I really need to reread some of the stuff from school because I have a feeling I would like some of it now.

1. Harry Potter Series - I truely love these books. I totally get sucked into their world and forget about what is going on around me. My favorites are 1,3,5, and 6.

2. A Seperate Peace - a true classic that I immediately fell in love with

3. To Kill a Mockingbird - such a good look at society and people

4. The Red Badge of Courage - a great look at courage, friendship, and growing up

5. Interview with a Vampire - I liked this even better than the movie.

6. Little House on the Praire Series - I know, I know...it's cheesy, but I loved it when I was a kid. I used to dream about living back then. Thank goodness that dream didn't come true...LOL

7. Angel Unawares by Dale Evans - a sweet and sad story about Dale Evans and Roy Rogers youngest daughter

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Superb trilogy...if you havent checked these out and like LOTR or Harry Potter...you really need to read these

Harry Potter Series...faves are 3 and 4.

Well thats all that comes to mind at the moment, books aren't my fav thing in the world, i'd much rather be outside playing football or watching tv/dvd.... but when i'm in the right mood i will sit down and read, just a rare thing!! Most of the books i've actually read are books that i had too for school, and i never remember them.....
Reading interesting stuff that i can relate too and learn from is something i have always had DEEP inside but the older i get the more i want to read.... So i'm going to start getting more into books, something i'll grow into i think!

= Everything by Larry McMurtry, but I especially love his Sin Killer series

= The Holy Bible - it took me about 6 years, but I read the whole thing!

- The Razor's Edge by Evelyn Waugh

- To Kill a Mockingbird: BOO Radley!

- The Charles Dickens' books I have read: Great Expectations, Oliiver, Nicholas Nickleby, etc... (my grandather had the whole series in hard back and my parents' now have it )

- I loved the Little House series too...

- Jane Eyre

- Wuthering Heights

- The Short Timers by Gustav Halford (Full Metal Jacket was based on this book)

Little Women got boring after they started growing up. Joseph Conrad wrote a cool short story - The Secret Sharer.

Read all the Nancy Drew and Laura Ingles Wilder books.
