Indeed Dan it is good to see. It all goes back to what we both (and others in here) have said many times. It all comes down to the parenting that the kids get, and the values they are given as a young person.

I have SOOO much to thank my parents for... they are the best and have given me the best possible chance at becoming a well rounded human being! Even though they don't agree with the way i'm choosing to live my life(they are strongly christian) they still support me and give me nothing but love! Being home schooled, i was taught most of what i know through them... and i'll be forever in their debt! Love you Mum and Dad
I think you're family probably instilled some very strong values in you. I don't know everything you do in your personal life, but from just knowing you from what Ive heard you say, you are in far less trouble than most kids I know. I'm with your parents in that I'd love to see everyone I care about have the kind of faith in God that I have. Not a cookie cutter me, but to know God they way I do. BUT, it's everyones personal decision and it is impossible to force that. Actually, come to think of it, I'd love to see everyone I care about exceed the faith that I have in God, because even my own faith wavers from time to time. But to be weak sometimes and to be afraid and misdirected sometimes is to be human. Once a person can come to terms with that, they aren't messed up when they take their tumbles. I'd like to give myself credit for overcoming the obstacles in my life, but I owe most of it to faith.
Personally Dan, I think you're gonna be fine. ;)
Anyway, sorry .... I guess I had one of my moments again! Back to silly Lion.....
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."

kyle xy had it's season finale tonite... following a marathon on abc family... ending had a neat little twist... can't wait til next year to see it again and see how they reunite these families....
Last night was the season finale of The 4400 and The Dead Zone. They weren't as satisfying as I hoped they would be, but I think they took lessons from Lost. Don't put all the eggs in one basket so we come back for more. The are both good shows and I look forward to them next year. I haven't been watching Kyle, but it looks good. I will probably catch it on reruns. I am looking forward to Jericho and maybe The Nine. There are also some good people on the Sunset thing, Justice. And I have really been enjoying Eureka. I said I would watch one or two just to say I did give it a chance, but now, I am looking forward to it. I am also looking forward to some of the oldies coming back, Boston Legal, House, Bones, Crossing Jordan and NCIS. NCIS has Mark Harmon (Gibbs) who is yummy, but I don't know if he is returning. Gibbs went on spiritual vacation and hopeful, he heals from the trauma he went through at season finale. I have a movie (I taped) with Harmon made about 5 years ago. He is a psychopath who doesn't look like one and no one knows. I am only one hour into a 4 hour movie. It's called Never Let Her Go. I am also taping Johnny Depp in Secret Window right now. Looking forward to that also.
JJ...I am hoping that by the time the new season of 4400 comes up I'm going to be caught up and ready. I've liked the ones I've seen, but I just haven't caught enough. LL..JJ...I've also started watching Eureka again.. I must say that it's gotten better from how it started. I have stopped recording a couple things that are just re-peats now so I'll have room for that when it's on. My wifes a bit miffeed that on Friday nights I have the DVR recording like 3-4 hours on the Sc-fi network, but she gets her Big Brother, and Idol when they are on, and those are 2-3 times a week. SO I'm still in the good lane for this.
Secret Window is a great show. JJ you'll like it I'm betting.

It's a thriller that you get to geuss a little bit on, and overall it's a rare flick that gets me to like it after I've seen a bit of it, and thought it was bad.
Flightplan was like that a little bit with me. Once they "established" she was just in grief over her husband and that it was all in her head, I thought ... come on ... this is just stupid. I paid my money for this? It better get interesting REAL soon! and it did!
Back to the TV talk...I am actually thinking I'm going to check out The Nine also. Looks interesting, and who knows..I may like it....Mostly looking forward to the new season of LOST(of course) also the new season (18th!!!) of the Simpsons, and also the new Family Guy.
I am anxious to see Heroes. I am a sucker for any superhero/super human strength kinda show! I used to be up to date with all the X=Men comics. I lost it just before they did the big reveal about Wolverines past. I never saw it!
I haven't kept up on the comics for ages. I haven't seen anything on this "Heroes"..I'll have to look it up. I'm geussing it's a rip-off from the Stan Lee show on Sci-fi right now.
it's on NBC, and it's a serious show. Well, as serious as a superhero show can be. These kids or young adults have supernatural abilities. One girl has some sort of power over fire. They show her walking into a burning building. One guy flies, another has the ability to time travel. It looks really kewl!
snootch2danootch wrote: I have to say that wouldn't take much. I tried to like that show, but just couldn't.
I warmed up to it. Only because of the superpowers thing. For some reason I tend to have a little place for those lame shows like that. I don't know why. But Heroes does not look like one of those type shows either.
Up at the top click on about the show. I was wrong about what their powers are. But, I've had only the trailer on tv to go by. Anyway, the pilot airs Sept 25th.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
New show review: Justice (Fox, Wednesdays after Bones)
I watched this show tonight because I absolutely adore Victor Garber. I was disappointed in this show however. Victor Garber plays a cutthroat defense attorney named Ron Trott. He is partner in law firm TNT&G. His character is completely unlikeable and more intense than Jack Bristow. Jack Bristow had a daughter to soften his character, plus he was an uber-cool CIA agent who took no crap from anyone. Bristow was good at his job and knew it, but had no ego because his work went largely unnoticed by the media. His character in Justice is a media-crazy egomaniac who wants to win at all costs. That last part is great to have in a defense attorney, but his character is also known as the media spin doctor of law. He is notorious for his manipulation of the press to turn a jury in his favor. In this day and age that is to be expected especially given the media's influence on the minds of our young ones. There is no chemistry (platonic or otherwise) between Garber and his castmates, nor is there any between members of the cast. The show focuses on the defense of a client in court. It begins with the occurrence of the crime which sends that suspect to jail/trial and at the speed of light we are whisked through months of preparation and pre-trial hearings and the trial itself until a verdict is read. Then at the very end we are shown what really happened and consequently whether the jury gave the right verdict. For those of us used to CSI or Law and Order the speed through the entire process, with hardly a backward glance at the forensic evidence used by both sides of the courtroom, the show seems without substance and carries too much information for our CSI/L&O focused brains. Procedural crime dramas work better when focused on one aspect of the case, be it the forensic investigation or the criminal investigation by police. If you want to show the trial then leave it to L&O or give the trial its own show rather than slap it in among every other crime drama that exists all wrapped into one hour.

I'll probably check out Friday Night Lights. I liked Kyle Chandler in Early Edition. I can't believe shows still aren't starting until October! I thought since the Emmy's were on early that shows would be starting mid-September at least!

paints thanks for your review of justice... i watched it too and i keep thinking 'why do these shows think they have to be graphic and grosss in order to entertain us??? ' aren't there more of us interested in things like love and romance than blood and guts and gore???

Imagine me. I watch almost no shows with violence.
Last night I watched "Bones" ... full of charred remains.
