Um....good way to loose me as a viewer. i have no interest in a F'n soap opera. A little lovin is expected, but they are talking like it's going to be the focus...I'm so done with it if that happens.

They were talking about this on the ABC boards too. I really hope CC was kidding with that statement. I know he said they would focus on relationships in an earlier statement, but c'mon relationships don't need to be all about sex. I was hoping some more bonds of friendship would be forming and maybe people would figure out that their lives have crossed in the past.

IR I hope that you are on the right track. i'd love to bring in  1 or 2 of the other survivors and as time goes on they become the catalist for some of them on the island to realize some of them have connections to one another.

i think this may be a reaction to the viewers requests...all those dreamers who believe that all people should pair off and couple up... that sex is the way to express love...
yes, relationships are more about friendship than anything else... the support and brotherly love that we give each other is more important in our lives than anything else... it is what we live for and what we fear... without this kind of relationship, we die...physicallly, spiritualllly, mentalllly.... we cannot survive without it.... and it scares the pants off us!!! (oooopps-that's punny!)

I must (regretfully agree) that it is seeming like they are running low on the idea side right now. What i think they should do is not think more soap opera, but try to work on the few things still left unexplained that could be used through a few shows. Like the MONSTER..There's one thing that could be gone into deeper. Now more than ever it could be something that is involved in the show. Since the "Big Event" on the island is this thing going to be running around free?? Was the button somehow helping keep it in check? Think about that. When was the one time that it actually took out someone?? Right after the crash. The 2nd day when Charlie,Kate, and Jack went to the ****pit. Pilot plucked up, and mangled. Then after that every time it came across anyone it wasn't violent. So since we know that the "lack" of button pushing caused the plane to come down. I feel it's possible that it could have a connection to the monster also.

.. all that goes into a relationship is involved and confusing... life is not the rosy uncomplicated stories of the soaps... these are complex characters... to evolve, it would be interesting for them to develop loving ties, however, in the long run, it could ruin the tension... it has in so many other shows...
