I'll start this off with my take on her. I feel that she's involved in things with the "Others" somehow. I think it's more along the lines of doing what they want and allowing them to manipulate her for the reasons to get her daughter back. I think that the things she's done to help the losties has been her attempts at redemption for the things she's done against them. She's caught in a crossfire in her mind. She wants nothing more than to have her daughter back, but at the same time she feels bad for doing the things the others make her do so she does things good for them at the times that the others aren't involved.

is she consumed by guilt in having to destroy her whole crew??? was it the rants and raves of someone who was pregnant and the magnetic influence of the island did something to her pregnant self creating the sickness?? is the sickness in her mind?? how sane is she???
Just thought of something while repying to IR in another thread.
What if she is indeed "HIM"??? I mean I'd have to think she's very smart to have been part of a "research" voyage, and what if that along with everything she's told Sayid, and the rest of the survivors she's talked to is all a farse. She could be planting all of this in their heads as part of a bigger plan (LION..GAME) of action. Is this her way of getting closer to them without them suspecting that she's par tof the "others"? Everyone thinks that she's mental, and is doing things for the "others" to get Alex back. Well what if she really knows where Alex is,and is cool with it because it's all par to the "Family" business so to speak? Could Tom, Fenry, or one of the other men in that group actually be her husband?
But then again she very well could be completely off her rocker, and is nutters for life due to tragedy after tragedy.
First off I've heard rumblings that there is going to be some sort of FB involving her so will we see what happened to her and her crew to put them on the island? I'm hoping to see more of her getting involved with the "others". Letting us learn that she has only done the things she has (sort of catching fenry) to follow their orders in hopes of getting back Alex. Like Michael did for Walt. Also let's see if she turns into a headhunter when they back out of their end of the deal.

i see daniellle as becoming closer to the LOSTies than to the others... in 14 years no one has used her... she won't start now... she will remain independent.. that wild card that is unpredictable but shows up just in time... but in time for what??? she may die in season 4...
