Anyone remmeber that movie? Yes, it has relevance to Lost. If you remmeber the Fisher King, this guy has visions of a red knight. The red Knight is the thing that he needs to get back to the real world. meaning, he is totally in denial over a tradgedy that happened in his life and everytime that memory starts to surface it comes in the form of the red dragon/knight whatever it was.
Got me thinkin when I thought about how much the monster sounds like the plane crash .... ust rmeinded me of that Fisher King thing.
Lion that's very interesting thought. First I loved that movie, but on to lost.
I see where you're going with this, but I'm having trouble thinking that all of the survivors would have the same "RED KNIGHT" / MONSTER thought. I'm thinking if it diod happen like the Fisher king then all of them would look at it in a different way.
Yea, some have said they thought the sound was different for diffferent people. But also it just seems strange to me thgat it seems to me everytime I've heard the monster, it has always sounded like the plane crash. Except for when Lock got dragged off - that sounded like a chain. I think the monster didn't drag him off, but some kind of booby trap originating from the hole did. I dunno why the monster was in the hole though...
I was just thinking about somthing else completly, and I came up with this. I wonder if it takes something from everything it encounters? I mean it started in the begining like nothing anyone had heard. But now as Locke and Eko have encountered it, and it's more than likely been around them at other times that we don't know. It has taken sounds it's "Learned" during this time, and added it to the whole sound?? Sounds far fetched, but still plausible.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."

I still think it sounds a bit different...you could be right though. That is one thing I hope we get more on this season. I want to know what's goign on with that and why after Eko's run in with it there was no sign of it since....

Or could it be something that is run by the "Others" that was put to the side when Fenry was captured, and they were baiting Michael? It'll be started up again once they get back to their main base of operation.
