Season 3 for him will end up being one of powwer struggles, but worse than before. He will be forced into helping keep the camp in order when he gets back, and once Hurley gets back with the news of the 3 that are gone he'll be sought to lead them at that point. So then once he settles into that role Jack, Kate, and Sawyer will more than likely return, and instead of reliquishing it he'll stand up and fight to keep his position of leadership. He will as usual be the man with the plan for going after those 3, and I also DON"T see him being one of those who wil have a love interest again soon. As for his background..I'm still wondering why he was going to the US to see Nadia...Did she know he was coming? I mean she didn't seem to be house shopping for more than herself, and want to say she mentioned a child. If that's the case did Sayid father a child with her while she was a captive, and does he even know?

sayid... was a wonderful leader and organizer at the end of season one... he has the capability to continue this... what, however, will be his relationship with locke?? are they at odds?? are they able to form some kind of alliance?? locke knows he nneeds sayid.... will sayid need locke?? sayid will forever remain the rescuer of the LOSTies... but at what price??? look at what happened after he rescued shannon....

HHmmmmmm...now you have to wonder if it's possible that if you went back and looked at the orientation film that showed Degroot working in the lab if she may have been in the background somewhere?
