I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
All indications lead us to believe that he'll not be involved much in seas 3. So what will it be when he is around? I'm looking at seeing that he isn't actually allowed to go "Free" like he thought. He will be picked up after a while at sea going in the dirrection he was told. But instead of getting to go home it'll be straight to the island or another aspect of a Dharma/Hanso facility for him and Walt. They can't allow Walt to get away so that means daddy michael gets to go along for the ride. Either he conforms or he gets put into a place for safe keeping. I don't believe that they will actually harm him or anyone else for that matter. Then the only thing we may see beyond that is when he is given the chance to "Join" the "Others" in there work.

my first impression of michael, and it never changed, was that he ws a self absorbed person out for himself and not considering the wishes of others... he seemed driven by his ignorance of life and didn't seem to want to change that... a big question i have is 'what were his intentions with walt?' was this the kind of parental ownwership that he felt? he had glimpses of being a supportive parent but it never lasted... he showed jealousies toward locke and jin and any other male that was in a dominant role... except jack... his alliances with the LOSTies were somewhat uneasy... even sawyer couldn't do enough for michael... michael was also good at putting the blame for his actions onto other people... not taking the responsibilities for his own actions... even tho his girlfriend seemed like a real bwitch... maybe she did walt a favor and gave him more freedom in growing up... even tho it meant not much attention....

if there is anyone on the island who was more self absorbed than sawyer, it was michael... and ib the end he got what he wanted... off the island with walt....
nakes me suspicious that perhaps he is not just a construction worker... perhaps michael is ........HIM
LL...If he were "him" then I really doubt that he would have shot himself. I could see the oither shots, but not himself. If he was then all it wouldhave been eneeded to be was him freeing Fenry, and getting out together.

it's diversion... keep my identity secret... perhaps michael was the one in charge of offing his girlfriend, knowing that brian would come after him to get walt who is a handful to handle... remeber at the airport...'this wasn't part of the plan...' he then instigated the crash and the time on the island... walt knew what would happen (being turned over to dharma) and bucked the idea at first... when he saw the benfits, he went with zeke on the boat, screaming to make it look like an abduction.... once the testing process and whatever enhancements they did to him were completed, HIM and walt left the island, making it look like an escape ... michael, knowing that something can be gained from sawyer, kate and jack, and knowing that kidnapping the leaders sets the group back, has them taken....
You do make a very interesting argument LL. But I have trouble seeing michael being smart enough to figure out his own address let alone all that. it is a very thought provoking thing though. If for no other reason than the part with Walt. He very well could have known that he would have a chance to get "Caught" by the Otheres, and he knew that it would allow him more time on the island. And since he didn't want to move I can see that being the case.

remember the movie 'the usual suspects' ..... (did someone mention kevin spacey???) ...a character who was thought to be so inept yet he was the mastermind behind the whole thing....
