I am in tears as I write this so please bear with me if my words get tangled. In the very short time that I've known him I learned that he was one of the most caring, and loving men I've ever known. He's done so much for me in this time that I can't begin to think of a way to thank him. I'm such a better person for having known him. I can only hope that I can honor him and the faith he put in me. I will write more soon when I have my wits again. R.I.P. Volts...you will be missed by all of those whose lives you touched. Thank you, and I can't ever think of a way to truely repay your generousity. God please watch over his family, and protect them in this hard time.
letting go of one so special is so difficult... his humor...his knowledge... his helpfulness and willingness to help others because he once had a break.... great men like him don't happen often...
Slvr thanks for stopping in. I think he'd like to know that those people even the ones that he only bumed into took something from him. His sense of humor was incredible, and a knowledge of a great level.
I am sorry to hear of volts passing. Although we didnt speak I always enjoyed reading his posts on the abc board. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, his family and friends.
That's the best we can do is keep them in our thoughts. Thanks lostin for dropping in. He lightened alot of threads in his time both in here, and in the ABC board,
Volts was a very nice man who watched out for all of us treehousers. He was interested in weather, and made it a point to let us know if we were in danger of any severe weather approaching. He also had a great sense of humor, starting the nickname "Smootch" for Snootch. He liked to read and made great suggestions about authors and where to find the best deals on books. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of the great loss of V&A. I did enjoy reading his posts. I don't think we hardly ever interacted - but he seemed to be a nice man. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this difficult time.
I was truly saddened to hear the news. Volts was always friendly and fun to talk with. I know he will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
I'm so sad to hear this news. Volts was one of those crusty old dudes like my grandpa: plain-spoken, blunt, honest to a fault, humorous, smart as a whip. His technical knowledge was amazing, and his ability to communicate it with us nontech types was much appreciated. He did not suffer fools gladly, which made him one of the few sane voices on the 'other' board. We'll miss him.
Grannie he was the greatest. He was very stern in his dealing with the undesireables, but at the same time he always thought that everyone deserves a chance.

Thanks, volts. It was grand knowing you. RIP.
Yet again I couldn't have said it better. Thanks GG for saying it so well. I only "spoke" to him a few times, but read his posts often and he was wonderful. Now my mom has someone to watch season 3 with :).
Snooch can you please add my name to the card, that area won't take a non registered post. Thank you
Volts was a very, very great man!!!! He had a wonderful sense of humor and a very quick wit. He was one of the nicest people that I have ever met. He was always very helpful to anyone that needed help and he was always nice to everyone on here. We owe he much thanks for all of his help and his kindness!!!!!!
Thank you, Snootch, for doing this. He will be missed. I wish somehow we had been able to archive some of his humorous posts from the ABC board. I love a dry sense of humor and he was so smart.
