i don't know what to say i didn't know him well but my prayers go out to his family at this sad time.. Volts was very nice from when i've talked to him, he will be missed
I must say this was quite a shock. I saw there was a new person registered to the Treehouse so naturally I went to read her post and it was definitely not what I was expecting. Volts was a very kind man, to say the least. That his wife knew to let us all know meant that Volts must have mentioned us and that makes me happy that he felt like he was part of the family.
I found two quotes I want to leave for all of you, dear friends of Volts.
Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you are the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
I'm sure Volts is smiling with amazement and humbleness at the kind words from those who miss him. I did not cross his path often, but when I did see his posts, I knew I would find a touch of wisdom, a touch of humor, a touch of humanity. It was nice to see the "older" point of view admidst all the others. I'm glad he found refuge here with all of you. May God help his family and all of you deal with your loss. Hugs to all.
Thank you so much for reaching out to me when my sister died. It meant so much to me. Thank you for being my friend and listening to me. You were and are a great man. I will miss you dearly.
I hope you and my sister meet in Heaven because you will have a lot to talk about.
cathy... smitty... volts had such wonderful things to say about you... i hope you continue to stop by the treehouse and stay in touch with us... your loss is our loss too...
Thakns to everyone...LL , KIL, Lion, IR..Dan and the rest of you. You held things up, and also kept things flowwing from ABC. Thanks, and I'm sorry I didn't get back in last night. Between my state of mind, and my 30+ hours without sleep I'm on right now the only thing keeping me going is Energy Drinks, and Madden. Other than if I was at home with my wife I couldn't have asked for a better place to be to keep my mind from totally falling apart. Plinko has kept me busy, and not lingering on all of this to much.
I was sorry to hear the news of Volts' passing. Although I didn't know him well, or 'speak' with him often, I enjoyed his Mining thread back in the day and have always admired him. He is one of a handful of posters who I respected on the boards. In my experiences with him, I found him to be a gentleman and a fine example of what a person should be.
((( My condolences to Mrs. V&A and all his friends and family, on the boards and off. )))

(((Snootch))) Get some rest, sweetie. Surprisingly...this has saddened me more than I ever expected. My few posts here were with Volts. He was a very kind and wonderful man.
I got an unexpected call and answered it. As it turned out, I have the same name as one of Volts relatives and so his son thought I was she. I told him who I was and also that we are very sorry for their loss. And they have been reading the wonderful posts, so thanks everyone who posted!!

Lioni I think this is a sign.
I get calls from a mentally-challenged female whose last name is E-I while my daughter-in-law's family name is spelled I-E. It always causes me to think ... and be extra kind.
Lion...thanks for being passing on our feelings for him. It must have been some fate that let that happen. I'm glad someone in here got to talk with the family.
thanks lady, i will... i told him my brother was an electrician (he finished school a couple of years ago) and he sent out a networking email to all his electrician friends to see if they were hiring. He just offered and had never even 'talked' to my brother. I thought that was real thoughtful that he would help someone out that way.
I thought very highly of volts, even though I didn't spend a lot of time in here after he made the switch. :)
I hope everyone in here is doing well.

here is a link to the obituary. it has a guest book you can sign. if you go to "view today's notices" then you will find Jim Grills. I tried to do a direct link, but it wouldn't work.
