it's just a matter of hours and i can't wait!! the excitement is there in the air!!

i reflect back to the kids of the 30s and 40s who would get the latest installments of radio or movie or magazine serials and wonder, 'did they feel this way too?'

what a comeback show!!! it definitely had action and intrigue!! hiro got his sword! peter woke up... we found out more about claire and the haitian...

and her daddy is stilll an unknown... i don't trust him yet!!!

Don't trust the Daddy.  Even a snake will protect it's kids.  Hiro doesn't have his sword yet - he's got a phoney sword. :) 

 

We know what's her face is dead. What's the deal with the ****roach crawling in front of Sylars face? What were they saying to that? Peter meets the invisible man who goes around snatching peoples wallets!   Micah tells his Dad what his secret is next week. 

 

What about the new girl  in the preview before the show?  She can access the internet with her mind?

In re: the ****roach

Remember Mohinder's class that he's teaching at the beginning of the pilot episode where he's talking about the ****roach's ability to go for weeks without food and survive headless for a period?  I think the ****roach by Sylar's head is referencing that.  And what new girl in what preview?

I actually didn't see most of the first show. :( 

 

and there's a new mutant who can access the internet with her mind. They showed the preview with her in it before the show, but she wasn't in this eppy.

I only remember that part of the first episode because I watched part of the first episode on-line today.  I doubt I'll watch the episodes that I've missed, but it was interesting to see that first part.  Another thing that my roommate pointed out, which she realized right at the end, is that the tattoo Niki has now from her fight with DL is the same symbol etched on the Kensai sword.

What do we know about this Linderman fellow?  Is he the one who had the painting of Peter dead?

Another thing.  Nathan has a rather prominent scar on his left jowl line.  Where did the painting of Peter show the scar?

lindermann is an unknown as yet... i think he may have something to do with the genetics of it all...

i was thinking that if peter can see the invisible man, perhaps he has absorbed his power... after all, he can see himself... and no one could see the two of them...

hiro...even without his power is awesome!!! i loved the look on his face when his father showed up... wonder what his daddy will do!!!
claire's daddy is still a weasel and i am glad she has the haitian on her side... so her real mommy is on fire!! claire is second generation!! as is nikki's kid!! i think nikki/jessica is my least favorite... wonder how she will really play onto the plot.... would rather have kept eden!

OK, so I've been reading a lot of discussions around on the 'net and I thought I'd bring some of the common themes here for more discussion.

1- Nathan Petrelli is Claire's biological father.

2- HRG is both Claire's adopted and biological father.

3- Hiro's father is Linderman.

4- Who has the power to suppress others' powers- the Haitian or HRG?

5- What is the deal with Nikki/Jessica and who has the power and what is it?

The only justification I've seen anyone give for #1 is that in their opinion he is the only character who could pull off what they deemed to be a purple power-suit-shirt, which is how they described the shirt the figure is wearing in the preview for next week.

very good paints!!! i like the idea that nathan is claire's father... why i am not sure but that's what i lean toward... i also think that the haitian is the one in control of the powers... hrg thinks he is but not true... hiro's father as lindermann...hmmmm... interesting!!!  nikk/jessica's character is confusing to me too and i don't see a connection anywhere at this point... the scuttlebutt is that she and the guy who plays her hubbie despise each other!!!

Ok...I like the thought that Nathan is her dad. We've learned with his ramblings with Nikki that he cheats
The thought that HRG is her real pop. That actually makes much more sense. I do believe he has some power that he has learned to control.
Hiro's dad being Linderman...huh...tough one. I'm split on that. I could see it would work, but Linderman...not much of a Japanese name, and if his dad is a BIG global art dealer/aficianado. Wouldn't that make it even stranger that Hiro doesn't speak a scap of Engrish when the show starts?

Power to suppress. I'm still going with the Haitain. HRG wouldn't need him around could he control it himself.

Nikki/Jessica...now this is one I've been back and forth on. My BIG MAYBE thought on this is that She is and has been Jessica all along, and that Nikki is the extra part of her. And so that would explain the strength of Jessica, and how hard it is for Nikki to control. Seeing as how Jessica would actually be the first/main identity in the body/mind.
