What power did Locke and Eko get? I don't see anything special about anything with Locke at all. The whole "Sweat house: thing is as old as the dirt on the ground. I've read about the ritual a bit. It's been used by many different tribes of native americans and other cutures to comune with the spirits. But the one big "Issue" with thias is the fact that Charlie was right. Locke was doing drugs. i'm thinking something along the lines of a Peyote(sp) or something along the lines of a har natural hallucanegin. It looked just like the stuff Locke rubbed into Boones wound when he made him open himself to the idea of not needing Shannon.

Charlie was kind of annoying with the asking of obvious questions. What's that? Blood? What's that? Polar bear fur? Duh!

I was happy that they were going back to the camp but it was just not the same without our group of Losties all together. There were too many missing. Obviously Jack, Kate and Sawyer... Sun, Jin and Sayid... Michael and Walt. Rose and Bernard were missing. Libby and yes even Ana Lucia.

I'm not too thrilled with these new characters either... they just didn't fit in with the group. It was kind of a forced introduction into the show. Well, at least we didn't have to see them having sex in Jack's tent like the spoilers (or foilers) said.

I pretty much know your answer to this LL, but I'll ask anyways.

Who thinks that Locke actually shot the cop? I see that he might have, but I'm doubting it. If he didn't could the "Pot Farmers" be the reason he loose the use of his legs? Do they do something to him?

The new losties...hhhmmmm.

I'm not sure one way or another. We really only heard from them for a minute, and I'm open to what they can bring to the group. I like the idea of a background lostie  stepping up, and helping the group. lets just stay open to this. Hell if anything was forced it was the enterence of Juliet. I like her and all, but they threw her right into our faces without ever knowing anything about her, and she was a main part of the episodes.

I need to watch it again, but I'm glad we FINALLY get to meet some of the other people who've been hanging around camp. That always bugged me when I watch the dvds. Who's that-who's that? I mean the ones we know do everything cool. The rest just hang around.

Well if you think about it this is only the 3rd person out of the background from the survivors that's been brought forward. The only other one went Boom...splat.

That's because we haven't gotten to the eppy where they do that yet. But Claire is supposed to catch them in Jacks tent.

I actually liked Charlie in this eppy. He was thinking clearer, he didn't look all messed up as usual, I didn't find him annoying, I thought he was right to have his feelings and express them. Now we know how come Locke had such a keen sense or perception to see that Charlie was on drugs. Jack would kow about drug addicts being a dr and knowing he had to have seen them in and out of the hospital and also his father a addicted to alcohol. People who have delt with family members with any kid of drug problem recognize it in others. But now we have an idea of how Locke would know since he was farming some hefty hemp in that tent. Which kind of makes me loose a bit of respect for him. I hope they show him come to regret it.

I thought at first when he introduced the kid to the family that it was going to be like an adoptee support group or something. Then when the guy started questioning him about the tent I'm like oh crap, he's growing hemp.

Now, I had a laugh cause I was wondering when Hurley gave Des the tie dye if he was going to wrap it around like a diaper kind of thing since he was literally butt nekkid as a poking fun at his prior role kind of thing. Then, when he put the shirt on, knowing that the was still butt nekid under there starting thinkg of the Scottsman song that .....

K ....

" What does a Scottsman wear under his kilt? The answer my friend is blowin in the wind. "

Did noone get any chuckles ? BTW, many of the losties have experienced some kind of paranormal stuff while being on the island. Ecko was told to help Locke in his dreams by Ana Lucia and his brother, Locke dreams about Eko's brother, Kate sees horse, Sawyer sees horse, Jack sees father, Charlie has dreams of Aaron being in danger. So, Lockes vision does not necessarily indicate that he has come out with anything more than what he had when he went in. Des on the other hand has distributed some indication that he may have .... well, actually, here's the thing. What if because they said he wold have some kind of powers like someone on heroee, what if he somehow when the hatch was imploded wound up for a few minutes in the near future before winding up out there in the jungle ? That would make it more of a time travel thing than a precog thing.

I think he didn't elaborate when Hurley asked him about the speech because he probably just thought he was confused. Or it was a dream or something.

It was very funny to see him running past Locke like that!

I HOPE that there is a good reason they set up the scenerios for next week, and I'm kinda sad because they took an idea that I was going to use in my story!

If all it amounts to is that they use it to get a love confession out of Kate and it's not clear that there is a specific reason for them wanting to do that then *I* think that is crap poor writing - IMO. That would say to me that the writers just wanted to boost ratings by making some torture scenario to make Kate choose a partner in order to satisfy the shippers. That is not right. I would say they same thing regardless of who she chooses. That would be sacrificing the quality of the show and that plot to appease the masses. I'd def loose some respect for them if that's the case.

Let's hope not!

it's taken me a long time to get my thoughts together regarding this epoi.... there was so much to it...

the key, however, was the vision sequence in the airport....someone here is in trouble.... on general there was a post that isolated each comment and it made everything fall into place... it started with claire and charlie and boone said they are okay-for now... what's in store for their future??? the podcast said there would bera triangle...charlie or claire brings in a third??? no one on the boards has commented on this... let's see what happens...

we see des flirting... boone says he's taking care of things by himself... des comes thru this with enhanced abilities... more later...

hurley punching in the nubers and being friendly... no problems with him... he's safe...

jack, being assisted by ben, was interesting... along with kate and sawyer talking and laughing and looking in love... but it wasn't time yet to help them... that will come...

sayid, sun and jin... sayid is taking care of the couple... they don't need help...

eko is not there... he needs help

why the wheelchair? john locke needs much restaint in allowing himself to be helped... why boone? for all the locke haters out there, locke does feel remorse.. he has expressed that before... he justifies however in strange ways...

and more than anything, locke needs to clean up his own messes before he can move on... ain't that the way of life????

i mentioned new powers and i take that back... it is more like enhanced abilities that these men have... desmond's is apparant in seeing the future, locke had his courage restored... courage is needed to be faithful and spiritual... locke apologized often on this episode... showing humility that goes along with faith... much needed to maintain... eko, showed an even stronger faith than what he had before... i think as he recouperates this will be more apparant...

Man, no time or energy to even read everything thoroughly.

And I thought I had a good point and what is the first message about? Just what I was gonna say.

But here it is anyway:

Hey, Lost is going the Heroes route. Locke has the power to see the dead and sense danger. Desmond sees and/or hears the future. Hurley has superfast reflexes to catch knives. And two backgrounders have acquired the ability to.......talk!

And that's it for me. Mind is mush at this point.

charlie... i truly think we will see much of his darkside this year... however he will appear to those who don't look beyond the surface that he is just a good timme funny little charlie... he is still domineering over claire and single-focused on owning/possessing her and she will continue to rebelll.... he is not what he seems to be...

he did appear to soften thru this epi but i don't know if he will really clean up his own mess and move on with life... he languishes in his past and uses it as a reason to stay where he is...

it was interesting hearing him use locke's line... don't tell  me what i can't do... charlie's journey will be extensive....

locke... was it surprising to see him as part of a commune?? thru-out the entire show he has talked about the importance of family to him... i guess for me it becomes an even bigger draw for me toward this character... family... from his foster homes and sisters and brothers to his father who angered him to helen... my guess is this happened after helen left him... it was what he saw he needed to get over his anger and hurts and loneliness...

but family... isn't that a big reason we are here on this board? aren't we like family to each other? isn't this a basic draw of one human to another???

that's really how this story touched me.....

I think his new family is kind of a let down/drugs
I hope they are not the reason he becomes paralyzed.

how much are we going to see mike and jan this season??? was it just this epi? there was something about seeing them also in a claire epi... wait and see...

anyone google eddie colburn yet to see who this is or what it means???

is he a tie to analucifer?

did john shoot him? i lean toward no... locke wants to be a hunter... can you be a hunter and a believer at the same time? does faith/spirituality and hunting go together? can there be a meld to this? what's wrong with being a farmer??? it definitely is my heritage... and i think locke is more farmer than hunter... he hunts to survive physically... he farms to feed the soul...

but then he does have to clean up his messes...

We need to know why the Others act the way they do. Why would plane crash victims be a threat?
