Locke when he leaves the island, wills till be paralized. he is walking because the island is allowing him to. His legs are still numb - right? They've shown us that. Rose, if she leaves the island she will have cancer. As long as she's on the island, the cancer is sorta in remission. BEN has a tumor on his spine. It should have killed him. But the island IS keeping him alive! If he leaves the island he will die. Unless jack can save him.
I still can't figure out why Jack saving Henry saves the other losties????
I think if it is a thing that the island is helping Ben then one way that it would save the losties is that it would heal Ben, and then once he no longer needs to be on the island to survive he can take them along when he leaves the island.
OK...I know who and what you are talking about with the satnd reference. I just don't see him being the ultimate EVIL guy. he's bad yes...but I think that he's still just a pawn or the lacky for another person who is really in charge.

Ben is like the bad guy in the Stand. He's charismatic, he is manipulative. He can get people to do things they don't want to do. He is in control. He's ****y, but in an almost passive way. He twists evil to make it appear good.
