What kind of really, really bad day will Jack have this time?
Who is President now? Somebody we've seen before, perhaps?
Will Audrey be back since The Nine is in limbo?
Does Jack get to go to the bathroom or have anything to eat at all during the 24 hours?
These and many other questions will be answered on........24.

I haven't watched it yet! DTV was out until 8:30 on just that channel, and they apologized! I missed the first 6 hours of his day!! I waited for it to come on and recorded it.

6 hours? It's only been 2.
But what a 2 hours. As noted in the other message, talk about ripping someone's throat out!
Ya'll noticed Kumar of "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" as well as Doctor Bashir from "Deep Space Nine" right?
6 hours into his day....it was 6am and I don't know what happened before that
What a show! Now I know why people watch it! Poor Jack! Does the man ever eat? Where does he get his energy? How can he even think straight? Fate of the country? That man holds the whole country on his shoulders!! He does it all! He should be president! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree but I liked him and was hoping he would somehow recover.

what happened to Jack's mom? is she dead? i forgot if she was or not
Nothing has been revealed about his mother. However, based on his brother and father ya gotta wonder what she was like. Maybe he was attracted to Nina back in the first seasons because she reminded him of his mother. And you remember Nina was rackin' up quite a body count for herself.

I started with the first episode of season 2. The ending of that show got me hooked because it was an, "Oh my god, he did what?" moment.
Just watched season 1 a couple of months ago when Target had it on sale for $20. It was also good but a little strange since CTU had a whole different look to it and most of those we got to know in later seasons aren't there yet. And you also meet Nina as one of the good guys! But obviously you know she turns bad. It's why and when that will make you wonder.
This is a show I wish I had watched . . . but of course now it would take too long to catch up. With the 4400 I caught up on 3 seasons, but I believe 24 is in it's 5th-6th season. So many people seem to enjoy it. Would need a tutor at this point.

Each season is self-contained. Very little carries over from one season to another that affects the story. If it appears that there is history between two characters and you don't know what it is then it is not really necessary to know what has gone before to enjoy the story of the current season.
Word of advice: If you ever meet Jack Bauer, run. Especially if it is one of his really, really bad days.
FYI: Target seems to have Season 1 at a somewhat permanent price of $19.99.
