Could it be? Ok this is supposedly from Kristin... she said that they were originally going to show who was in the coffin but decided to keep it closed for mystery. It was supposed to be Locke.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
I'm not totally buying it yet but it would make sense.
Locke knew the people Jack was trying to contact were bad people. Jack didn't believe him and contacted them anyway. He was feeling so bad in the flash forward and it seems he was to blame for them getting off the island. Locke could have been forced off the island by whoever Jack contacted. That's why Jack was so distraught over Locke being dead. He was neither friend nor family but he felt guilty because he should have believed him.

Personally ... and I might be wrong .... I think they're full of crocky. Remember the finally was supposed to have the losties break off into opposing sides and battle it off ... Jack and John???? HP is supposed to be back next season ... what a coincedence....
They did do that. Everyone on one side and Locke on the other. Locke seems to have Lost.
If that is how they are settingit up. Then I have to say it very well could be an old sayng coming into play. "Jack may have one the battle but not the war"

Well you're just being snotty! J/K Yeah I don't know if it's a rumor or not. They said that it wasn't Michael, it wasn't Ben and it wasn't someone we didn't know. But you're right, we've been fooled before!

Okay, well when you think in terms of my time capsule theory ... which is certainly not a new theory, just a new twist I guess. The guys on the freighter do think that flight 815 was found in the middle of the ocean with no survivors, because this island just emerged from a time capsule. Everything on the island is as it was when sealed into the time capsule. Now it's all hangin out - so to speak. These guys think Jack is one of the others. The freighter people are quite possibly what's left of Dharma. All this time they assumed that their facilities were running smoothly. They sneakily get what they need from Jack, come in and kill off half the people or maybe even most of them before knowing the truth.
I mean, Locke pressed the button at the communications center tipping them off that the others have taken over ... yes?
I also think that in this reality/ place in time Kate never killed Tom. That maybe she is happily married to him. She was never on the run. Jack's dad alive? Maybe.
The latter part I'm kinda washy on, but the first half of this I have a stronger feeling about. But then I had a strong feeling about the Game theory as well!
I'll say it again, I know believe Ben spent so much time egging John on about the button because he wanted to implode the hatch and keep anyone from getting on or off the island. But I still think he setoff the purple lights.
Jack obviously loses the war seeing as how he is a drunkard who was going to jump off a bridge. Irony.
Jack's mistake is that he feels too much. He feels so much he can't always see straight. And the irony in that is that he feels so much but yet cannot express a word of it. How lonely a place that must be!
He also puts everything on his own shoulders. He was angry at Locke about Boone because Locke lied to him about how the accident happened and Jack based his treatment on that lie. That was his own words. Interesting.
Here's another somethin for ya too ..... ever wonder why everytime Shannon saw Walt water was gushing out of his mouth like niagra falls? Which Walt did she see? The Walt that was taken on the boat or the Walt that drown out in the ocean ?
I wish when they made these blasted videos they would choose the brighten function in the video program so we wouldn't be sitting here watching a black square and listening to the clip.
