'with no power comes no authority' as the ad says... i am honestly looking forward to this. maybe i'll go on Friday seeing as how i have the next 5 days off
I've loved the ads for it, and I'm very happy to see it getting the publicity it is. The first one that's going to have more than the cult following. JASBSB was big, but not something like this.
About Pirates - It was storming when we went to see it. So, when the opening scene came on and there was water everywhere we were like - well...THAt'S appropriate!
Then the power went off when they were running away from the cannibals. We thought they were going to make us come back, but they had the power on in ab out 10 minutes or so.
I lways stay to the end of every mmovie I watch and see all the credits and stuff. But I most definately had a feeling there would be something at the end of this one.
I'll say - the end made me VERY angry. I don't like to be left hangning like that!!!!!!!!!!!!
SNNOOOOOOOOOTCH you goin to see Clerks 2 tomorrow??? i think i'm gonna, i mean i want to see that Lady in the Lake movie but i gotta get my Jay and Silent Bob fix

That's the plan. And I think I'll be all by my lonesome. The wife works, and the kid is in bible school. So the first trip to the new theatre for the SOLO run...and what better movie to go to. But that's only if I can drag myself out of the house, and if my daughters concert at the church doesn't take to long.
i'm probably goin alone too, my best friend hasn't seen the first one, and i'm trying to get her to watch it. She says she will. So yeah i'll probably end up all by my lonesome but that's ok. I don't mind, when i go my myself i don't have to haggle over what movie to see

Cool...I'm going tomorrow afternoon. The wife decided after seeing the new promo that she wants to see it. So it'll be family day at the movies.
The first one was K.Smiths first flick. It was about 2 slackers. 1 was working at a convenience store, and one in the video store next door to it. it all takes place in 1 day. It's actually hard to describe..nothing like it to compare it to. It was the birthplace of jay and silent bob.
So I now know what I'm going to send you at some point in the near future. It's actually where I got my S/N from. It's something that they say in all the movies, and is just something that stuck with me. I'll have a buddy here at work burn you a copy of the ones I have as soon as I get some more writable dvd's.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
Well I just got done laughing my ass of for an hour and a half.
CLERKS 2!!!! Best of the K. Smith movies yet. Worked in the usual jabs and props to things like star wars and LOTR. ALso somehow he managed to make this even raunchier and racy than any of his other movies. This is now my Favorite movie from him. Still love Doagma, but this was just way too good. It lived up to everything I hoped it would.

a teenage boy is sent to a juvenile facility for the murder of the retarded brother of his druggie girlfriend and is befriended by a teacher with a desire to write a book... it delves into the human condition, the detachment of emotions and a variety of life philosophies... well done.. produced by and starring kevin spacey... don cheadle is the teacher... well done movie!! very well done!!
Kevin Spacey is the perfect person to have in a movie like that. I know he does Lex Luther very well, but some of his best was in Pay it Forward. He was great in K-Pax too. I'd hang out with him if given the opportunity.
