I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
The Feb. 7 return of Lost is still a long way off, but a boatload of spoilers from Bai Ling should help tide us over, right? The China-born beauty guests on three upcoming eps of the show, and here she talks about her character's complicated flashback relationship with Matthew Fox's Jack—and precisely what it was like hitting the sheets with Señor Foxy. Meow!
We've got to talk about all things Lost! Work was a joy. Everyone in the production was so generous, humble and kind. I felt like I was very welcomed by them! Mostly, I worked with Matthew Fox. The three episodes I have, it's very deep. My character says, "I can see who people are."
What can you tell us about your relationship with Jack? What exactly are you going to be doing? You never know, I might come back. They say on the show they bring people back even when they're dead. I am a very important character in his life; like, his tattoos have something to do with me.
I know you said he was a great kisser. It was funny, when we were shooting the scene, we didn't know each other. He is very handsome and very kind—very much a gentleman. It's kind of nervous doing those love scenes, but it was really fun, [even though] I was kind of embarrassed. We both had a mutual understanding to just go for it. Sometimes I'm on top of him, sometimes he's on top of me. I asked him, "Can I do what I want?" and he said, "Sure, you can do whatever you want." I didn't want to offend him, but after he said that I went with what I felt.
Can you give us a character name? Achara, a-c-h—I don't know how to spell it. It's a name I had never heard; it was hard for me to pronounce. But, you know, what is funny about my part...she seduces him, and she's really forward, and she behaves the way she wants, which is really beautiful. It's very healthy and honest and very powerful, in a way.
So, what's the backstory? We're lovers, but I am kind of a mystery to him. He doesn't really know me. I don't allow him to visit me, I don't allow him to know what I really do—we're together, we sleep together, we hang out together, we're lovers. And there is a mystery, he never knows what I do. There is also a psychological twist and betrayal.
Are you contracted to do any episodes outside of the three? No, they haven't now, but they are going to see. Hopefully, I come back. I want to, because Lost is a really fun project. I think it is a lot better than the movies I have done. The writing is beautiful, and you really get to know the characters, and not just on the surface, which I really appreciate.
I cried, "Oh, Lady Midnight, I fear that you grow old, the stars eat your body and the wind makes you cold." "If we cry now," she said, "it will just be ignored."
Well, it only makes sense that she would seduce him because Jack is just not a seducing kind of guy. I dare say that Jack is kind of shy in that particular area. Shy/reserved. He prolly is looser once the intitial moves are made.

They did both want it. And this is what I don't get with the ships. Neither one can seem to come to the realization that Kate is attracted to both men. She enjoyed kissing both men. But the Jack kiss was more frightening because like she said before. She said she was sorry she wasn't as perfect as he was. She feels that he has standards that she doesn't measure up to. It's a feeling of lesserness within herself. That doesn't mean necessarily that I'm saying she took Sawyer because she felt he was at a lower standard or whatever. What I'm saying is for whatever reason her feelings for Jack scare the crap out of her. She feels Sawyer is a safer bet.

exactly... it wasn't that she was afraid of the relationship with jack, she was fearful that she wasn't good enough for him. sawyeris a commoner, jack is a prince. it is easier to stay with your own kind than to try to live up to the expectations of another class.

Jack is in no way a prince, and i think that Kate it starting to see that. Jack is no better or worse then her and Sawyer, he is not wholy "good" just like Sawyer in not wholy "bad". i think that when Kate first got to the island that she saw Jack as "good" and Sawyer as "bad" but now she sees that both men have good parts and bad parts. as i like to say: There are many shades of gray

Well this would seem to be the place to drop these photos I found.
OK now....that look she has in te 2nd pic. Is the look of being let down. I'm geussing from the info in the 1st post that maybe this is where the betrayal was caught, and now Jack is letting her know that she doesn't have that control on him anymore.
OK....Now I'm all about the asian ladies. I've had a thing for them for as long as I can remember. I can't remember seeing a asian woman that didn't at least look attractive to me....until now....
FIRST ******WARNING******* DO NOT DO ANY SORT OF IMAGE SEARCH FOR Bai Ling UNLESS YOU WANT TO SEE SOME SMUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not kidding here. I found some images of her. and I can't believe a couple things. First...she looks so trashy/ nasty....then she's also pretty much nude or almost nude in just about every pic that they had. She has that nasty skeletal look to her tha makes me ill. So I'm not sure, but unless she has changed some things about her look while on the show. I'm going to be wanting her dead (even though it's only flashbacks) faster than Annalucifer.

sorry... i meant this as seeing them thru kate's eyes... sawyer is a common man, as she feels common. jack is a class above.. an intangible... yet he makes her feel special... he makes her want to be a better person. sawyer makes her want to make someone else better. there is conflict... do i pull myself up to the standards and life of jack... or pull someone else up a level? both choices are attractive to her... can she do one without the other?
jack makes the choice for her... and she loves him all the more for setting her and sawyer free... again giving her another method to use to improve sawyer... in the end...do they all become like jack?
how many times have our LOSTies been told about being ....special...

she didn't run back to sawyer... she ran to shannon's grave and talked to sayid about feeling crazy... conflicted... LOST... and very unspecial.... she took her time getting back to sawyer and when she did, she told him (wayne) that she hated herself for having a part of him in her and how sawyer reminded her of this... should we conclude that sawyer makes her hate herself? does she try to improve him becuz this is the only way she can improve herself? is that love?

sorry... pot stirring is in my blood...
but look what happened after she told Sawyer/Wayne that she hated herself because of him(Wayne, not Sawyer). look at how happy Kate looks when Sawyer wakes up, and how she flirts with him as she helps him walk outside and how she smiles when she tells him he needs a haircut. that is not how i would act if i was with a person who i hated or that made me hate myself.
